Summary: “Something like the movie Pretty Woman. So Dan is working in this shop down the road and one evening Phil felt all alone and frustrated and went there and had sex with Dan and spent the rest of the night thinking about him and assuming that he’s only developing feelings for Dan because he’s so alone. He visits him the day after and Dan drops hints that he loves him, too and Phil kinds ‘buys’ him for the week and they do fun stuff together or just look at the stars. Phil is sometimes embarassed about only needing Dan because he’s alone but Dan compforts him and Dan confesses his love and stops ‘working’ there and they live together”
A/N: I lost the motivation halfway through this so I’m v v sorry I hope you like this!

________
Phil stood in front of the quaint brick building labelled “Fiona’s Flowers” on a cold Friday afternoon. He knew why he was there, of course he did, but he was having second thoughts.
He’d been more lonely than usual, sure, but was he really willing to buy someone?
The door jingled open, a man around forty stepping out. He squinted as if he hadn’t seen the sun in days, and had a goofy smile plastered on his face. As he nearly stumbled past the black-haired boy, Phil noticed a bright red poppy resting behind his ear.
With the guy gone, Phil returned to his hole of hesitation. The same questions swirled around in his head, conflicting with each other.
“Oh fuck it.” He grumbled. Phil took the last remaining steps to the door and pulled it open. The bell jingled once more, alerting the unusually smiley woman at the counter of his presence.
“Hello!” She smiled. “Can I help you?”
Phil stepped to the desk nervously. “I um- I’m looking to… you know.”
The woman laughed, though there was something dark about it. “You’re looking to buy a flower?”
“N-no, I was-”
She cut Phil off with an impatient wave of her hand. “Look to the board, dear.”
He looked up to the board she was referring to, seeing two lists. One was pink and the other blue, presumably separating the boys and girls, On the girl’s side was three names; Poppy, Rose, and Carnation. The boy’s side only had two; Viscaria and Aster.
“You can ask for information on any of them.”
The boy swallowed hard. “Tell me about Viscaria and Aster.”
“Our red Viscaria has a lot of spirit, and loves to dance.” A wink. “Aster is our most popular one. They’re the symbol of love and daintiness. Do you need a moment to decide?”
Phil’s mind raced. He of course wanted one of the blue names, but which one? He wasn’t too keen on dancing, he thought, so Aster it was.
“No, ma’am. I’ll book an Aster.”
She typed a bit on her computer before turning back to the man, palm open. “Sixty.”
He dropped three twenty dollar bills in her hand.
“He’s ready for you. You can head on back.” The woman pointed to an inconspicuous looking pale yellow door in the far corner. The door had red roses painted on it, which were almost hidden behind a stack of orchids.
“Thank you.” He said, beginning his trek to the door.
The handle was warm to the touch, surprising Phil, as it looked like a cool metal. He pulled the door open, immediately met with a short hallway of doors. Phil had already shut the door when he realized he didn’t ask for the room number.
He swore, turning to go back into the shop when he hears it.
It’s small, quiet, barely audible, but he hears it. A small “Psst!”, followed by a giggle. Phil’s head whips around in the direction it came from, heart pounding. He sees a flash of deep blue dart around the corner.
Swallowing his slight fear and awkwardness, he edged down the hallway, making sure to stay on alert. He rounded the corner to see a wide open door. A man stood in front of the bed seen through the doorway, wearing the same colored blue he saw go around the corner. He had brown hair in almost the same hairstyle as Phil, although it was hard to concentrate on his face when his hands were trailing down the silk of his blue cover-up.
“Are you Aster?” Phil asked as he took slow steps forward.
“That’s me.” Aster said, undoing the tie around his waist as Phil drew closer.
Finally, Phil entered the room, turning around for a moment to shut the door. He turned back around to say something, but was met with a completely naked boy. He gently pulled his face closer and pressed an innocent kiss to Phil’s lips, grabbing his hands while he did so.
“I’m all yours.”
I’m a horrible person, Phil thought, but still pushed Aster back slightly so he fell gently on the bed.
He let out a light sigh, pawing at the other’s jeans. “Let’s get started.”
~
Phil zipped up the zipper of his jeans with a blissful sigh. He finally knew how that man walking out earlier felt.
A shuffle from the bed caused Phil’s heart to swell. He turned around, smiling, to meet another smiling face. Aster was propped up on his elbow, batting his wide brown eyes. “Will you come back?”
“I don’t know, is this a money-making tactic?” He teased, only half joking. He didn’t think his heart, already infatuated with him, could take it.
Aster made a face. “No. You were just so… gentle. No one ever does that. You’re interesting.”
Phil blushed, continuing to dress himself. “I’ll come back tomorrow.”
The boy leaped from his position on the bed to wrap himself around the other’s back. “THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUUU!!” He screeched, peppering kisses all over what he could reach of Phil’s face.
Phil blushed deeper, not used to the affection. He turned his head to meet Aster’s lips in a sweet kiss.
When they finally pulled away, Phil could’ve sworn he saw a sort of twinkle in the other’s eyes.
“I should go,” he whispered. The twinkle disappeared in an instant.
“Yes, I suppose you should.” He sighed. Standing up, he picked up the puddle of blue silk from the floor and wrapped it around himself once more.
“I’ll come back tomorrow, Aster.” Phil promised once more, not liking the sad looks he was earning. He moved towards the door slowly.
Aster winced at the name. “Dan. My name is Dan.”
Phil grinned. “I’ll be back tomorrow. Dan.”
The twinkle finally reappeared, Phil finally winning back that innocent smile.
The boy moved closer to him, holding something periwinkle in his hand. Aster, Dan, leaned in, and Phil, expecting a kiss, shut his eyes. Instead of a kiss, something was tucked behind his ear.
“Adieu.” Then the door shut, leaving Phil in awe. He opened his eyes to see the wooden door blocking him from the person who had stolen his heart.
He felt behind his ear, pulling out a light blue aster flower.
With a sigh, he turned and began to leave the double-meaning florist.
~
Phil didn’t get any sleep that night. He was haunted by those beautiful chocolate eyes and delicate features; sleep was next to impossible.
The moment his 7am alarm rang, he was using the last of his energy to shoot out of bed and get dressed. He threw on jeans and a blue zigzagged tshirt and rushed to the street.
“Taxi!” He yelled, signaling for one that was coming up the already bustling street.
“Where to?” The woman driving the taxi asked.
Phil mumbled something along the lines of the correct address, and the taxi was off.
The gentle rumbling of the car almost lulled Him back to sleep, but the thoughts of Aster-Dan- kept him awake, just like during the night.
Finally, the vehicle pulled up to the flower shop.
Phil paid the driver and exited onto the sidewalk, moving sluggishly as if he were traped in a lava lamp.
The bell to “Fiona’s Flowers” swung open once more with a loud chime. Phil stumbled in as the same receptionist from the day before eyed him in slight concern
”Aster again, please.” He mumbled, though you could tell he was less awkward about it this time.
The woman nodded. She turned to her computer and typed away for a few moments before facing Phil.
“He’s ready for you.”
He nodded in thanks and made his way towards the rose covered door. Phil pushed it open with a little too much of a struggle.
After it shut behind him, he followed the path that the blue silk had led him yesterday.
The door at the end of the hall swung open, revealing Dan. Instead of the blue cover-up Phil had seen yesterday, the man wore normal jeans and a black t-shirt. A wide smile covered his face at the sight of Phil.
“Phil!” He yelped. Dan threw his arms around the other, gripping him tightly. Phil blinked hard, trying desperately not to pass out.
“Are you okay?” He asked, pulling away worriedly.
The voice sounded far away as if it were coming from down a tunnel. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just a bit sleepy is all.”
He looked concerned, but made the decision to believe him. “Okay. Do you want to come in?”
Phil nodded. He walked into the room, Dan eyeing him just in case he went down.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
Instead of a response, The man grabbed Dan’s wrists and pulled him closer. Dan yelped, but otherwise made no effort to break free. Their lips met; Phil holding the small of the other’s back and the brown haired boy slowly snaking his arms around his neck.
Phil’s vision swam. It was covered in black spots, making it hard for him to see the beautiful man in front of him. Dan didn’t notice the expression on his face. His eyes were closed as he led the ragdoll of a man towards the bed.
Phil limply fell onto the overly-cushioned surface and blacked out immediately. Dan looked to the sleeping body underneath him with concern, his lust immediately dissipating. “Phil?” He poked his face. A light snore exited his mouth in response.
~
Phil came to three hours later. He sat up with a groan, holding his pounding head in his hand. It took a moment, but he remembered everything that had happened. Coming sleep deprived to the shop where his newfound love worked probably wasn’t the best idea, but he had promised to come the next day.
“Welcome back to the land of the living!” A voice chirped to Phil’s right.
Phil shifted his aching eyes slightly in the direction of the noise.
There was Dan, laying on his side. It took Phil a moment to realize they would’ve been facing each other if he were still laying down.
“I’m so sorry, Dan! I didn’t-”
Dan leaned up and cut him off with a long, drawn out kiss. “It’s fine, seriously.”
Phil took a moment to appreciate how amazing this boy actually was.
He was beautiful, sure, but his personality itself gave Phil butterflies.
Phil’s appreciation was interrupted by a distant and muffled phone chime.
Dan sighed, plopping down onto his back and staring at the ceiling. “I’m booked.”
Phil’s face fell. The thought of anyone else enjoying Dan’s sweet smile made him a bit envious.
Dan began to sit up and head for where the chiming phone was before Phil stopped him; an idea in mind.
“Wait!” He yelled, causing the other to stop abruptly and look at him in a panic.
“I’ll book you! For… A week!”
Dan blinked. “A…week?”
Phil nodded frantically. “Yes.”
Dan looked concerned. “Do you know how much I cost, Phil?”
“I don’t care.” The black-haired man said as he stood up from the bed. “I just want to spend time with you.”
It took a moment, but a hesitant smile covered Dan’s face. He picked up his phone and typed a message. “If you’re sure.”
~
As the pair walked out of the shop, they both squinted at the bright sunlight. Phil thought back to the guy at the beginning of his expedition into the shop, vaguely wondering if they had the lights dimmed inside on purpose.
Dan adjusted the strap of his backpack whilst smiling innocently. “So. Where to?”
Phil lifted up his arm, signalling the nearest taxi. “Home.”
”Home,” he repeated emptily. The flower of a boy looked back to the shop quickly, wondering for a moment if going with Phil was the wisest choice.
In the window was the woman from the counter; Beatrice, as Dan knew her.
She was his main tormentor, refusing to feed him and the others if they didn’t make enough.
He needed to find a way out of there.
Beatrice waved, a sinister smile on her face.
Dan turned back around with an annoyed, albeit slightly scared huff.
The taxi pulled up as he did so. Phil ran ahead and pulled open the door, gesturing for Dan to get inside.
“Such a gentleman,” he said, pecking the other’s lips as a reward, before ducking into the backseat.
Phil came in after him, shutting the door. He relayed his address to the driver and handed him the money in advance. “So I won’t forget.” He explained.
Six minutes passed in comfortable silence as the car approached Phil’s house.
As soon as the car stopped at the curb, Phil was out and running to the other side of the car. He helped Dan out, as he had already opened the door, hoping it would warrant another kiss.
It did.
~
The second the front door shut behind them, Dan was kissing Phil with a type of lustful hunger.
Phil squealed in surprise, but quickly came to his senses and returned the heated kiss. He gently grabbed Dan’s wrists once more and tugged him in the direction his bedroom was.
~
Surprisingly, only a part of the week went on like this. The majority was spent watching movies and cuddling on Phil’s sofa.
They were currently laying in Phil’s backyard, gazing at the stars.
Dan stared up at the night sky with a fixed fascination. He rambled on about his childhood and other parts of his life, Phil looking at him the same way he was looking at the stars.
It was saturday, the final day he had Dan booked, and Phil couldn’t stop looking at him.
It was this moment that Phil put aside his silly thoughts that he only liked Dan because of his loneliness.
He scooted closer to the other and intertwined their hands, looking at the stars in his eyes instead of in the sky.
Dan turned to look at him lovingly.
And as they shared one more kiss, a shooting star streaked across the night sky.
