I feel bad for Wyatt. Jessica's murder really killed him and Lucy bought him back. But he didn't know what to do after this bitch said she was his wife. Wyatt isn't every going to see the version of his wife that he knew. This bitch is Rittenhouse though and though. She didn't just drink the kool aid, she grew up in it.
Wow.
The “bitch” has a name, and she IS his wife. Not the exact version that he knew in the sense that this one lives a double life, but their life together was the same: Rittenhouse might have told her “Look, that one, marry him”, but it’s not like they changed the interactions between them since they got together. As proven by the fact that they shared that surfing story in 2x05: if their whole history completely changed, how comes that that stayed the same?
(Also, if you apply that logic, then what about Agent Christopher? After 2x08 her life changed quite a lot: coming out is a huge deal, being accepted by your family is a huge deal, do we have to conclude that she’s someone else entirely as well?)
Jessica has been raised by Rittenhouse, she’s been indoctrinated with their bullshit since when she was a KID. These are the people that saved her brother’s life and raised her, and yet Jessica STILL couldn’t kill him. If she was as hopeless as you’d like her to be, she would have just shot them all in the head. Or she would have shot Wyatt in that alley, when he dropped his gun.
I don’t know if the writers ARE going to make a redemption arc happen, but there IS room for it, because Jessica’s feelings for Wyatt are very much THERE for anyone to see.
