Capstone Week One
Before I began looking for portfolios, I decided to narrow down the values/themes I find most interesting. Since I describe myself as more of a designer, I knew I wanted to look for examples that were more conservative and could easily translate in the wider professional world (where non-techy people may look at them). Typically, I find myself excited by sites with some sort of motion design, so I wanted to challenge myself to find site that surprised me in other ways than their animations. Here are the sites I found that stood out to me the most:

https://www.danmachado.com/
https://s-a-o-r-i.com/
What I liked most about these sites were that they deviated away from the traditional format UX portfolios tend to take. This format is basically a header followed by a grid of projects. This is also the format that my own site has, which sadly is such a cliché now. I really liked how each of these formats were really clean, since I am not a huge fan of excessive color, but also subtly showed personality/something unique about the designer.
