As a new Image Brewer and member to the post-college society, I have to admit that my knowledge in the field of video production is minimal. Having the wonderful opportunity to join the Image Brew team has exposed me to a world that I was only familiar with from the eyes of the viewer until two months ago. Before working at Image Brew, whenever I would hear those recognizable production-related words, “On-set,” “Filming,” “Shooting,” and let’s not forget “Behind-the-scenes,” my mind would simultaneously think, “Sexy,” “Glamorous,” “Cool,” before wandering off to more elaborate thoughts of me and Theo James starring in a thrilling love story (I am convinced that we would look great together).
Life “behind-the-scenes” of producing a video is everything I could have ever imagined, and so much more. It’s amazing to watch the artistry of taking an idea and bringing it to life through the integration of creativity and a camera lens. It’s truly a highly collaborative process that requires just as much technical and management skills, as it does imagination.
All that being said, I would like to introduce my first “production love.” This video is a project that Image Brew began working on in tangent with me starting my career with the company. I was able to see the entire storytelling process unfold through the visionary ability of our team of passionate filmmakers, which is why I’m giving this project such an affectionate title.
This video features the historic Union Station and its neighborhood as it goes through one of the biggest, most exciting redevelopment projects in Denver. Collaborating with Cultivator and East West Partners, Image Brew had the fantastic opportunity to capture this vibrant focal point of Denver, and all the conveniences and luxuries offered by living and working in the heart of this city. This progressive neighborhood is where the past of Denver meets its future.
