I really like seeing the contrasts of the characters with same image colors from RWBY.
Ruby and Adam both have image color of red. Pyrrha's image color is bronze, but I used to think her color was red as well from her hair color and all, lol.
Anyways, Pyrrha gives off the calm and peaceful vibe. Reminds me of the leaves during the Fall. Adam gives off the explosive and aggressive vibe, reminding me of a burning fire. And as of Ruby, well, her last name is Rose to begin with. She's the cheerful wild one that makes people around her happy.
The leaves may look beautiful, but their red and orange color means that they will fall from the tree, and let the new leaves take its place. Pyrrha's death was both tragic and beautiful. Her death was the necessary ones to keep others keep going. (I know her image color isn't red. Just thought it'll be cool to add since she has a lot of red in her design.)
Fire keeps you warm but will hurt you the second you take your eyes off of it, and burn down the house when you leave them unwatched. Which is basically what happened in his relationship with Blake. But they will eventually go out even if you don't do much with it. Of course, they will tend to die a lot quicker when you actually make an effort to put it out. (Yang and Blake)
When someone presents you a rose, it represents love. But roses also have the spikes on their stems to protect themselves from the surrounding environment. Only once the spikes are removed, it is ready to be in the hands of humans.
And from this, I kind of thought...
All leaves will fall for a new start. All fires will be put out for other's safety. All roses will wilt. Usually, the reason they wilt is because they are dehydrated. But roses will also wither because they are plucked out of the soil, and their spikes have gotten removed. Only by then they can be used to decorate your house or to be presented to others.
I really don't think Ruby's the wild rose with spikes that may hurt others. She's more of the beautifully bloomed rose without spikes that makes people happy. Makes me kind of wonder where this is headed, especially now that the leaf has fallen and the fire has went out...
Real Talk
Does anyone else feel like the some of the image colours for Aqours seem a bit... off? Like they just don’t feel right in the same way µ's and their colours do. Here’s what I think Aqours image colours ought to be:
Dia: White or silver. Dia needs a colour that’s regal, elegant, and pure. Red is not what comes to mind.
Kanan: Indigo. Why the heck is Kanan green?! She’s a diver, not a gardener.
Mari: Ok she can keep purple. But like, lilac rather than deep purple like Nozomi.
You: Cyan. Kinda blue but also green at the same time. Super different from Kanan’s indigo.
Riko: Mauve. Technically still light pink I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Chika: She can keep orange. Orange is perfect.
Yoshiko: Black. None of this grey garbage, can’t just go halfway and quit. She’s an angel of darkness, not an angel of indeterminate alignment.
Hanamaru: Yellow but like, a calm gold-yellow rather than Rin’s electric yellow.
Ruby: Not just pink, magenta. Bright-ass burn-your-eyes-out Barney-the-Dinosaur magenta.
