Because the newborn was born arrived at the hospital ill, it was moved to a different ward. A short while later, Meta Knight finally arrived at the hospital, battling for his life. He was bleeding out and his breathing slow. It was thanks to Nura and Dylan that he arrived still drawing breath. Keeby, exhausted from the struggles, rested quietly, barely saying a word to anyone. He was hurting physically and mentally.

The doctors and nurses had gotten Meta Knight to the operating table, but they realized they had a problem. Since Puffballs were a rare species, they couldn't have supplied Meta Knight with enough blood to save him. Needing blood and knowing that Kaby was around, they had asked him if he could donate enough blood for them to stabilize Meta Knight; For the Puffball would surely die without it. Kaby readily agreed, feeling at fault for Meta Knight's condition. After the blood transfusion, Meta Knight was finally stabilized and could sucessfully be operated on. He would live, though it would come at a price. When talk about Meta Knight's injury arose, the real story was covered up, and instead, a story of an attempted assassination was told. For now, no one knew it had been Kaby... Meta Knight's friends and the GSA arrived, all worried at what had occured. When Meta Knight's operation was complete, the Puffball was put in intensive care. How had this happened? It just didn't seem possible... Something... Just didn't seem right. Maybe Meta Knight would explain when he woke?

The newborn had to stay at the hospital, kept warm with blankets and an incubator. After a couple of days, Keeby was allowed to head home, weary, angry and hurting. The yellow Puffball was stressed beyond relief and he was deeply angry with Kaby. Kaby himself was exhausted and stricken with guilt. What would happen if people found it? The stress and the guilt kept him from sleeping. Meta Knight was still in intensive care, for the sword had punctured his lung and large intestine. He would remain on life-support for some time. He wasn't in good shape, but luckily... he'd live.

((so, i mentioned before, there is going to be a “post image exchange” write-up that explains what happened after everything went down. askstarshipvagabonds wrote a simplified and shorter version so you guys have a general idea of what happened. essentially, you might want to read this if you want to understand what’s happening/going to happen:

Aftermath: Keeby, Kaby and their new baby are rushed to a nearby hospital in the local town, Paprika Village. The musclepuff, Shane, and the Cupie, Taavi reunite with Taavi's friend Nura, who had worked together with a helpful acquaintance named Dylan to get the injured Meta Knight to safety. 

Realizing that Meta Knight is not entirely safe yet, and that he has lost a lot of blood, the doctors ask the puffballs present for a match. As Kaby's the closest, and he feels responsible for this whole mess, he offers to donate his blood to Meta Knight. That way, Meta Knight is able to be stabilized, and everyone is safe. However, there are going to have to be a lot of changes in the near future, for everybody...
