Stipple | Facebook Tagging on Steriods
Tagging pictures is nothing new - and anyone with a Facebook or a Flickr account can tell you that, but a company called Stipple has taken that concept of marking up photos with metadata, and pumped it up a couple of notches. Imagine reading an article on your favorite band, and for all intents and purposes let's say you are enamored with Rush. So you come across the following photo and you say to yourself, " Boy, I wish I knew what kind of guitars Geddy and Alex were playing." Now, you can just hover over the dot that's on the guitar, and it'll contain all the information you need! Imagine looking through a fashion website, and being able to find out what they model is wearing, how much it costs, where to buy it, what the model's Twitter is, etc. Web 3.0, here we come!
