Hey Juju! You’re one of my favorite accounts that I follow and I love your analyses of Oliver’s social media habits, because they always seem to be pretty spot on. I’m in your inbox today because you’re also usually a positive force on the 911/Buddie front. I’ve been feeling pretty optimistic this season about Buddie, while trying to manage my expectations, lol. But I will say, I’ve had to unfollow some blogs that I followed from previous fandoms for some quite frankly insane takes about buckt*mmy. One person said they were perfect for each other (wtf???) and another was going on a rant about Tim not caring what the GA wants… 🤔 I thought it was just general tumblr craziness, but I’ve been seeing an alarming number of comments on the official instagram, with more truly questionable takes and that weird ass hashtag. I guess I just wanted to get your perspective on everything. Obviously we can’t totally predict where the show will go, but I’ve never been more convinced that Buddie is happening, hopefully this season. But now I’m a little scared that these people are going to make them reconsider. Like I do think if we get any kind of confirmation that Buddie is happening in this next episode, there’ll be so many more viewers because of it. I just need them to commit and go for it. You can answer in private or not at all, whichever. I just mostly wanted you to know that your blog is one of my favorites, especially when this show is driving me crazy, lol. 💜

I’m sorry you had to unfollow some blogs. I also had to unfollow a few, and some of them were my longtime friends/mutuals. But I’m all about curating your own fandom experience and I want to enjoy myself you know? And there’s nothing wrong with that!
I personally can’t predict what can and will happen on the show but I will say I’ve been super optimistic this season. And I know some can say I’m usually optimistic every season but there’s just a definite shift this season between the two and I think everything that’s been shown to us is done so deliberately. Even them not discussing the Chris elephant in the room, to me, is done on purpose. I am not scared and I suggest you don’t be either bc Tim has stated from day one that T was brought back temporarily. He was originally supposed to be back for a 4 episode arc but bc s7 was such a short season, they couldn’t finish what Tim’s plans were without it being too rushed. So he had to bring him back for this season. Let’s also not forget how he was originally supposed to be Eddie’s LI, per lfjr. So what that tells me is, they already have it in their plans to have Eddie be queer as well. But it just didn’t work out the way they wanted to with everything last season, which is why they went with him being Buck’s love interest. But from the very beginning Tim has mentioned time and time again how he’s not writing T as Buck’s endgame LI. How he’s the first and they’re having fun or whatever. And how he was the first and no one forgets their first but isn’t Buck’s last. And if I remember correctly, over hiatus Tim had an interview where he made some comments about those fans and how annoying and strong they came off about that ship. Like I think they kept sending him direct messages and stuff. I’m not positive bc it was awhile back and I didn’t watch the entire thing.
I guess what I’m trying to say is Tim will never do what he doesn’t want to do. He doesn’t really care about what fans are saying online and he’s going to tell the story he himself wants to tell. He’s made comments over the years about Buddie shippers but again confirmed how he’s telling the story he wants to regardless of what pushback he may or may not get. I do believe he knows what a goldmine he’s sitting on with Buddie and I think, or I choose to believe, he’s going to tell their story beautifully. And I believe he’s already told Oliver and Ryan and they’re all on the same page with that. And no amount of comments begging to bring back T is gonna change his mind. I think everyone from Oliver and Tim have confirmed the break up is official and it’s not a break of any sorts. I think they’ve cut off any and all “hope” of them getting back together. I also think he knows way more of viewers and fans have been hoping for Buddie and he can make history if he does go down that path and get them together. I wanna be hopeful and see that by the end of the season will have them together, but I guess it’s just a waiting game. I just wanna see what they’re gonna do in this last episode and see if it gives us any sort of hint or not. But regardless, I do believe at the end of all of this, Buck and Eddie are meant to be together and they will be together bc no other love interest would really make sense for either man.
