Magneto: What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about basically anything and everything I have interest in. I guess if I had to narrow it down I really, really love cinema; I worked at a movie theatre for 2 years (and still wish I did) and the majority of classes for my English degree have been film/media studies. Within English/film I have interest specifically in transmedia narratives, which are narratives taking place over several works which are produced in mixed media. For example, the MCU is transmedia because there’s hundreds of individual pieces of story across films, television episodes, shorts, and comic books.

I also really like Marvel, Harry Potter, and theme parks.

Polaris: Do you have any siblings? How many?

I have one sibling, my younger sister Lexi.

Nightcrawler: Do you believe that crying is a weakness or a strength?

I believe that crying is a strength. I cry easily tbh. Crying shows a capacity for emotion and empathy that many people overlook.

If so, I was too young to recall it now.

19. What does your URL mean?

Um… that I’m not clever enough to come up with something quirky or cute.  :)

28. What’s your biggest “what if”?  

I was planning to go to college out of state and at the last minute my parents decided they wanted me to stay close to home.  I was so close that I went home every weekend to see my boyfriend. I didn’t embrace the college experience and ended up dropping out, getting pregnant, getting married, getting divorced, going to school part time for almost 12 years to get my degree.  I ended up getting married again to a great guy who loves my daughter like his own and having a very happy life with a family I love like mad… but I often wonder what my life would have been like if I’d gone out of state for college and not been able to come home. *shrug*  It’s not a regret, it’s just a “what if”

34. Most attractive singer of your opposite gender?

Tim McGraw or Justin Timberlake currently.  If you are asking 17 year old me, the guys from Nelson.  And now “I Can’t Live Without Your Love and Affection” is stuck in my head.  

37. Do you believe in luck?

I believe in lucky coincidences or happenstance.  I don’t believe in superstitious luck from objects, rituals, or other things like that.  I believe that luck is something that happens to you, not something you make yourself.  If you affect or influence it, it’s not luck, it’s planning.  

53. Do you save money or spend it?  

I’m a spend thrift for little things, but save for big things.  Like I spend probably $5 or $10 a day without thinking about it, but if an item is more than $50 I either have to really justify needing it, or save for it before I buy it.

54.  What was the last thing you purchased?

Little thing: lunch today.  Big thing: On Monday I bought a Mini Cooper.  It’s the first car that I’ve ever had that I chose and paid for completely on my own.  It was a great feeling.

63.  What is your secret weapon to get someone to like you?

Online… I think I just basically stalk people until they give in to the inevitable.  IRL… I am self-deprecating and really, really snarky.  I make people laugh.

*sighs deeply and dramatically* Sometimes, this website makes me want to burn everything... this is why we live in such a messed-up world, because people continually make excuses and create loopholes and explain their way out of stuff that should be clearly, unequivocally WRONG... and they get away with it...

I think the “get away w it” part is the thing that fucks me up the most.. like ppl out here suckin the dick of some shit that should get them thrown in jail for the rest of their lives at a MINIMUM and I have to sit here knowing that they will be free to roam the planet for the rest of their days while there are ppl who will never recover from bullshit like this (and any other gross ass flavors of abuse that y'all love to defend, excuse, protect etc) it’s the most heartbreaking shit in the world. All survivors of abuse – and esp csa – deserve so much better than this, they deserve the whole world and then some tbh but instead they get shit on by nasties at every turn bc no one wants to take shit seriously. This world is a goddamn disgrace lmfao.
