Wedding - Part 2 (TGC)

My reaction to hitting 115 followers! Thank you so much!

(At the time I was writing this it was 100, but lost my motivation to write for awhile but it’s back! Sorry for the long wait!)

Thought it would be fitting to upload part 2 of the Wedding. Hope you all enjoy!

Daylight peered through the thick curtains, making you open your eyes lazily. You scanned what you could of the suite without having to move your head and saw your left hand resting on the pillow. You were greeted with the glisten of your wedding ring. A groan escaped Tom as he shuffled, readjusting his head on top of yours pulling you in closer. His arms tightening their grip on your waist. The two of you drifting back to sleep. 

What seemed like hours later, you felt Tom stir behind you. He placed light kisses on your head, his hands roaming up his shirt which you put on after a night of consummating your marriage. Once Tom’s hands reached your stomach, he left them there with his hands open. You lifted up slightly and turned around so you came face to chest with Tom. He hummed in delight as you started tracing circles on his chest with your fingers. 

“Mornin’ Mrs. Glynn-Carney.” Tom sung as he pulled you in closer to his chest. 

“Morning handsome.” You replied, placing a soft kiss on his chest. 

He turned the corner of his lips, smiling that infectious smile you fell in love with all them years ago. You leaned against your left hand, resting your head on your hand as you admired Tom. The daylight hit him, accentuating all of his features. Were you still asleep? None of this felt real. Not even when Tom’s ring sparkled against the light as he ran his finger through his hair. This definitely was just a dream.

As you laid there trying to distinguish between fantasy and reality, you took advantage of this situation. Though he never liked to admit it, to this day, Tom still got flustered every time you would check him out. As his hands rested on your waist, content with life, Tom eyes slowly started to close. Once you were positive he was sleeping, you remained in your position on the bed and took in every inch of him in. From the wild strands of ginger hair down to the way he had his toes curled up at the bottom of the bed. You couldn’t quite comprehend that you were married to this man. He was yours. For eternity. You sighed happily as you just laid there, until you started drifting off as well.

Your eyes fluttered open for the second time that day. You saw Tom leaning against the headboard, scrolling through his phone. He must’ve noticed you stir because he put his phone down on the bedside table and gave you his undivided attention. 

“I’m not sure about you, but I’m starvin’.” He said, stroking the strand of hair out of your face. You hummed in agreement, continuing to draw circles on his chest. You felt Tom shift, he wiggled down the bed so you two were face to face. “Room service?” He asked, his eyes lighting up at the thought of performing this task. It was always a dream of his to stay in bed for as long as possible, order room service and get it delivered to his room. Today he would be able to make that dream a reality. 

You nodded, pecked your lips and turned around to the bedside table. Tom retrieved the menu and shuffled himself closer to you. He leaned back against the headboard, you cuddling his chest as you decided what it was you would be ordering for breakfast - well for the time of day it was, the technical term would be brunch. 

“So many choices.” You said, looking through the menu. 

“I only see one.” Tom said, you smacked him on the shoulder with him just winking at you. “You love me really.” He teased.

“Well, duh. Otherwise I wouldn’t have done this.” You shoved your wedding ring in his finger. 

“And I’m glad you did.” Tom said, delicately taking your finger and softly kissing your wedding ring. “You’re stuck with me forever.” He tilted your chin up with his finger and captured your lips in a passionate kiss.

I think a lot of people just want to go live in a crumbling tower somewhere and write poetry, wistfully staring out the window at the person you harbour a secret desire for, and I think that's pretty okay. I always thought that it was weird or odd that I thought about those things, but I'm now realising there are loads of people who just want to live in a book, and that's absolutely awesome and we shouldn't feel bad about it, or be made to feel bad about it! Anyway, I'm gonna go put on a long white dress and write some poetry ;)
