I think the problem is more in what he thinks women live like, specifically? I don't think it's a bad idea to experience discrimination first hand, but if he walks around limp wristed and only cares about shopping, because 'that's what women do'? ...

Yes. Thank you. There are so many unanswered, impossible-to-answer questions: What does it actually mean to “live like a woman”? What traits, actions or identifiers do you use that suddenly give you the lifestyle of a woman? It really doesn’t work that way.
