While the mystery that Basil had come to Redwood Hollow to solve still was uppermost in his mind, he was also interested to see all the various activities in town, and he had to admit they certainly got very enthusiastic about their celebrations. He might not have had use for too many fresh fruits and vegetables, but it was fascinating to see all the varieties on display.
"Do you recommend any particular sellers?" he asked the woman beside him, "Sorry, I haven't been here that long, but I have been here long enough to see that Redwood Hollow really seems a most lively place. It seems every time I look, there's a new festival of some sort. I believe there's going to be a circus in town as well? I would go, but I'm afraid I would be too busy deducing how all the tricks are done."
