Imbolc Guide and Resources!
Okay babes, take two THREE!! This will be the last time I try to post this!
Imbolc is coming up so I thought I would do a little info and resource post! This will be tagged as a masterpost because I will be adding quite a few links along with the information.
So, What is Imbolc?
Imbolc, also known as Brigid’s Day or Candlemas, is a Greater Sabbat celebrated on February 1 or 2. It is to celebrate the Earth waking up and preparing for Spring. The Triple Goddess is in her Maiden form, nurturing the seeds of Spring. This is the day to worship and thank Brigid for bringing fertility, warmth, and new life to the Earth. The Sun King can also be worshiped for his work to warm the cold Earth up. This is the perfect time to Spring clean all aspects of your life and to begin any projects you have been holding off on for a ‘better time!’

✴ Replace any altar items you no longer need or connect with
✴ Cleanse all of your tools and crystals you are keeping
✴ Collect any new crystals or tools you want to bring into your practice
✴ Decorate! Snowdrop flowers, Brigid’s Cross and/or Doll, sheep and wool decorations, swan or white feathers, white gold green yellow and pink candles are great, orange red and yellow ribbons to symbolize Brigid!
Spring Cleaning: this sabbat is the time to clean out every aspect of your life to allow space for new exciting things!
✴ Think about any relationships and situations that may have been causing you any negative feelings. Using either meditation, logical thinking, or divination, find if there is any way to fix problems within those things. If there is none, then it is time to say goodbye to those relationships or situations.
✴ Go through your home or room Marie Kondo style! At each item ask yourself “does this spark joy or have use to me?” If the answer is no, throw!
✴ Go through your phone and delete any messages, photos, contacts, or apps you no longer need or use.
✴ Use your preferred cleansing method to cleanse your home’s energy.

My Imbolc Shopping List links included in case you need any of the following! ✴ I am hoping to add a cauldron and an athame to my collection this Imbolc! These are the ones I’ve been eyeing: Cauldron, Athame 1, Athame 2
✴ I have been trying to find a bit of Garnet that I like, but the local stores I have do not carry any or I have not connected with them the way I would like to. I found this cool one on Etsy, but I feel as though my attraction to it is more visual than connective if that makes sense!
✴ HERBS! I have been running low on herbs for the past month…but I want to for sure get some Basil, Chamomile, and Cinnamon as those are the herbs I tend to use the most during holidays they correspond with!
✴ I have stocked up on lots of white candles of all shapes and sizes…but I always forget to buy any colored candles…haha. So for Imbolc that is changing! I will be getting orange, yellow, pink, green, and red taper candles from Hobby Lobby! Their candles are always cheap and they always have lots of online coupons to make your wallet even happier!
So babes, that’s about all I have for this post. If you have any questions or just want to chat, my Inbox and Ask are always open! I hope this helps anyone who happens on it. I will see you in my next post :)
