Another new member joining our Ironman Cairns group. Chris Chatham is a super nice guy & hard worker. Here is a bit about Chris: I’ve been with GPC for a few months now having signed up to be punished, sorry, coached by Kate in my lead up to this years Melbourne Marathon. Been involved in triathlon for about 4 years, after I bought my first road bike as a present to myself for completing my first marathon. The cycling bug bit, I’ve always ran, and I don’t drown when I go in the water so I figured why not? Quickly found out I enjoy the longer distances more and spent the next few seasons training up for, and then competing at IM Port Mac earlier this year for my first full distance IM (on my 38th birthday 👊🏻). Loved the experience so much I’m now in the middle of preparing for Cairns IM in 2018 so you might see me at a few events in the lead up. As distance-coached athlete, I spend a lot of time swimming running and riding solo around my home town of Creswick but if you want to check out some of our local trails or roads, hit me up via Facebook and I’d be more than happy to show you around.
