This sounds like a good time for listening to music with headphones to block it all out.

I seriously considered putting in my earbuds with nothing on just to block out the noise, but it only lasted about ten minutes until the boy’s bus arrived and things calmed down. As for being ready for the kids to go back to school, that means I’d have to be ready to go back to work, lol! This is the only full week of summer vacation I have had away from school due to staff development work and summer school, and I have to go back full-time a week from today. 

Ugh.

I will enjoy what I have while I have it, even when it is chaos. :-)

I was so excited to see you'd updated the Collide verse and of course, it didn't disappoint. You've given such a lovely voice to both men and the age difference is handled with enough care that I don't feel squeamish with a topic that often makes me feel just that! In fact, Collide started out as a writing exercise for me - I was kind of uncomfortable with age gap/teacher-student relationship fic too. And then one day I was talking to mailroomorder, going on and on about how important it is for writers to step outside their comfort zone occasionally. And then somehow I turned it into a challenge for myself and decided to write something I wasn't entirely comfortable with. It has certainly made me reevaluate my previous opinion and now I quite enjoy the trope. Also, there are so many good fics out there that I hadn't read before because they dealt with exactly that subject matter. So, I think it was really worth it. :)
