Okay, I just wanted to get something off my chest involving the Lola Bunny redesign...
So, Apparently, Some people are triggered because Lola doesn't look how she was in the original Space Jam. As a person who grew up watching the movie, I will admit I never saw a problem with her design, however, she was just there to be the girl of the group full of guys. She was made to be Bug's love interest. And the fact that she pushes Bugs away during her introduction to the film, somehow that's a sign of feminism.
Okay look, I get it. Everyone loves a strong female cartoon character who can stand up for herself. But that's the thing. Shes a cartoon. And while her original design was nice to look at, it just wouldn't be comfortable to play in in a real basketball game. If Lola was real and a human and she wore that on the court, there would be red flags.
Another thing I'd like to mention. This chick on tik tok, I forgot her name, says in the new design Lola isnt wearing a sports bra and she's flat.
Okay?
She wasnt even wearing a bra in the original so why would it matter? Everyone is salty because Lola got Powerpuff girl 2016'ed and made her flat. Oops! No mOrE fAn sErVicE. What a crime against humanity.
Look, I get it. I do. I'm all one for Nostalgia. I love Nostalgia. I'm crazy about it. But sometimes things change. And frankly, I think she looks SO much better in her redesign.
Girls in baggy clothes are a turn on. She's still Lola. Shes got her hips. Shes sexy in her own way. But if you're going to empower women and say "She can wear what she wants!" Then say that to the new design. She looks badass and so much more accurate to what a real female athlete should look like.
Grow. Up.
P.s. Looney Tunes show Lola was more superior. Fighte me.
