❈ — It was early morning. Too early, in fact, that the sun had hardly risen above the horizon yet. Godric stirred awake when he felt that Diana was no longer beside him and he grumbled under his breath. Forcing his body to move from the warm confines of the bed, he found his robe and wrapped it around him as he trudged about the large room until spotting her standing on their balcony looking out. Coming up behind her, Godric’s strong arms wrapped around her middle and pulled her in close as he nuzzled his scruffy face into the crook of her neck. A sleepy sigh and yet another grumble escapes against her skin. “Mmm...miss your warmth. Come to bed...”

Violet gaze upon him, Diana is seemingly thoughtful as to whether or not she should do what she is thinking of. It's uncommon for her to hesitate, though she holds back and with her right hand caresses his cheek, smoothing down along his beard instead.

“So this is Mount Targon?” he asked, staring up towards the heavens, squinting to view the peak of the behemoth of rock ahead him.

"Having a bad day Diana?" he asked, continuing his work as she touched him. "Or is there something else on your mind?"

"Heard you need an egg." She offers him a small basket with six, but from chicken.

The dragon sniffs at them. He gives one a lick.

"Not quite the kind I am looking for."

“I don’t help people so they’ll be indebted to me,” the Warmother said, her grip on her bow unwavering as she stood up straight. “I assure you I expect nothing from you.”

E o que seria de um homem sem um herdeiro! Jericó nunca tinha pensado na herança do sangue. Era mais importante para ele o que uma pessoa fazia e não tanto de onde vinha, que ventre ou que semente vinha. O seu peito pesado ao sentir o tempo a arrastar-se na espera de notícias, a voz da rainha foi quebrada enquanto ela gemia de dor no esforço de dar à luz, uma coisa que ele notou foi que Diana não rasgou a sua voz em gritos de sofrimento, sim, a dor da rainha era palpável, o cheiro do seu sangue era palpável e ele não podia fazer mais nada senão andar para trás e para a frente no corredor na espera de notícias. Finalmente, finalmente, pôde ouvir um grito de bebé e a porta abriu-se em breve para o deixar entrar, isso foi um bom sinal, não havia sinal de que a Diana estivesse em risco. Ele entrou e beijou a testa da sua Rainha, pegou-lhe na mão e beijou o nó por nó em alívio ao que ele tinha acabado de sobreviver. Os seus olhos abriram-se-lhe como pires e as suas pupilas foram-se abrindo enquanto a criança lhes era apresentada, tanto o Grande General se aproximava e levava cuidadosamente a pequena criatura nos seus braços à sua mãe. Ele sorriu ainda incrédulo do que estava a acontecer, aquela criança estava agora com eles. "A minha adoração..." Era tudo o que o homem podia dizer segurando o bebé ao lado de Diana para um olhar mais atento. Ele não a queria deixar ir, mas logo a depositou nos braços da Rainha.
