I mostly agree, but I still think that even if the boyfriend wasn’t part of the show, they should have stayed broken up. While Ben himself has been growing personally, Julie doesn’t know that and they would need work over past problems first.

Oh, I don't think Ben and Julie should've been put back together in this episode. I just feel the boyfriend thing was forced, unnecessary, and pretty annoying.

I also was put off by the fact that throughout the episode there was an overarching narrative that Ben and Julie should be together, or are at least showings signs that they should be, but then ultimately the episode ends with them parting ways. Parting ways is good. Whether the writers plan on it being permanent or not, who knows. But for now, at least, good. That being said, they shouldn't have then kept going on about how Ben and Julie were still giving off romantic vibes toward each other, as it's a conflicting narrative. At least on Julie's behalf.
