Demeter hails from a rich family located in the high cities. She left as soon as she was independent, chasing an insatiable wanderlust. Working on caravans and surviving in the wilderness did nothing to diminish this, only serving to model her into an altruist wanderer.
Life on the road, however, gets lonely. After a few decades of having no permanent home, she entered a small village near a blackwater river. Demeter never left, becoming infatuated with (and eventually marrying) a fisherman named Lanthe. Life settled into a peaceful rhythm. Demeter found a calling in raising and breeding dogs, allowing her to continue trading and meeting new folk.
After living a long life for an Immanu (which is not long enough), Demeter's light slowly faded. She was buried beneath her garden of fysa roses, survived by her husband.

Decades later, she followed an old fisherman back into town. Changed, yet the same soul, she is now catching up on lost time.
