Before I read the rest of this fully, John was about to have a seizure.

Soon, sweetheart. Just finishing up here and changing. John pulled his shirt on, forgoing the usual suit for the fact he would be home for the first time in weeks, a long mission keeping him away from his other half – a necessity, he was told upon protest – and he was looking forward to taking advantage of the much needed relaxation after the grueling mission and the following days trapped in the med ward with a dislocated shoulder and broken ribs to show for it (and he wasn’t telling her that tidbit. He was sure she knew and he was catching some serious hell for that.)

Funny thing - Limbo has it’s own Rules. Roger understands them, he doubts Bathroy will for at least a year.

He’s pretty sure it’s been a month now, he could find the second it’s been since he ‘died’ if he focuses. For right now, he doesn’t. And Bathory’s words interrupt a pleasant memory, Stephen toddling on his toes out of Marla’s arm the scant twelve inches to Roger’s waiting hands.

It makes him snarl in reply, angry, enraged really, that his entirely self indulgent comfort had been interrupted. Whatever illusions of the dimension Bathory had constructed vanish, the area around them and between them nothing but foggy mist in cool tones. Roger’s idea of what it was, but also reflecting his temper in the inky blackness around the edges.

He wouldn’t yield ground, not here.

‘Alone’ might get to them both later. But for right now, Roger was too furious - too hurt - to care.

I’m pretty sure if Jed sedated John when he was being dumb, the result would have made for a very boring show. Imagine Jed sedating John after he went to kill Roger? John might not have decided ‘haha, fuck this place, *goes AWOL and takes the main AI and computer system and corrupts it against Ultra*’

It’s a good thing (maybe?) Hugh, Jed, and Roger are actually FRIENDS in that verse (and I’m not sure what year Cassie would be in) but seriously she would be getting an in person visit from the three of them and I don’t think Jed and Roger are ONLY British citizens either so they are less inclined to play nice.
