Merlin fandom: our time has come again

Merlin fandom is amazing. I've seen communities die out immediatly after a show ended. But for a show that ended 10 years ago, no spin offs and pretty much no chance of a revival, the fact that the community is still going and that Merlin tumblr is as active as it is is nothing short of impressive.

just finished BBC’s Merlin on Christmas Day, deleting Tumblr til next Christmas Eve to get the full fandom experience, see y’all later.

something great abt being in an old-but-living fandom (besides the fact that every trope ever has been written) is that I can open a fic that was posted when I was 3 years old, leave a comment talking about how much I love it, and the author will be like “thanks! I'm so glad you liked it! it's one of my favorites I've written!”.
