Many Moons Later Update!

Hey friends! Long time no talk!

I just want to apologize to start for the lack of updates during the past few months. There has been a lot going on in my personal life that has added some complications into progress on the project. The team has also had their own personal happenings going on, so we've all had to tone down the amount of work that has been putting. But rest assured, we are still working on this book!

As the main [and only] artist working on all of the assets, I wanted to provide some updates on some of the MC skins! To start, I came to the conclusion in April that I... well, hated most of the MC skins that I had initially made. So I have started going through and making newer and improved skins since the skill sets I've used have improved greatly since I started this project.

The only ones that have been completed at this time (as of yesterday actually!) are the femme!MC skins. And here's the updated ones below. The left is before and the right is after. The last three are the last 3 femme!MC skins that have not been previously shared.

And here they are! I'm much happier with the results of these femme!MC, and hope all of you are too. I want the quality of life while playing this game to be top notch, and this helps us get one step closer.

Please remember, the ask box is always open. I try to answer the questions as frequently as I can and I will be setting my attention on the project a lot more now that my motivation is making an appearance haha!

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

We are in talks of adding maybe one more CG image, but it is up to our senior artist if she can do it. Our junior artist already sketched one out for an image that was already planned to be used, and it is quite sweet! As for sprites for other characters, we WILL be reusing faces and hair from other books, and then just make clothes for them that fit the scene. 

 We know it’s lazy, but since we’re both a small team AND a team doing this project on our own time outside of our jobs/classes, we find this to be an acceptable way to cut the workload. We believe as long as we don’t cut the story, we can reuse sprites. With DS1, we know fans are still pissed off about the story, not pissed off that the Benji (QB) and Brad (TRR) sprites made an appearance. 

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP WITH THE PROJECT, WE ARE ALWAYS WELCOMING NEW VOLUNTEERS!

As many of you know, PB has dropped a teaser for a sequel of a book with a bloody 2 in it. Since many think it is ID, it only begged the question for The Captain. If PB is willing to change their mind about making a sequel for a more recent book, will they do it for other books? If they did one for DS, would we have to scrap all of our hard work? If it is ID, we still would want to see what @immortaldesiresproject​ has! We thought PB wouldn’t in DS’s case because too much time has passed since the announcement that it won’t get a sequel AND the book didn’t do so well in the first place. At this point, PB making a DS sequel will be filed in the “Wishful Thinking” folder in our brains. 

And some of us think that bloody 2 teaser was for COP anyway.

Will you be taking on testers for the game?

Yes we will!

While we don't have an eta on release, nor updates at this time, I do hope to have a small group of testers, including the team, for each chapter to ensure that the chapters are running smoothly.

Ultimately, I would like to set up a beta test once we have a bit more content completed. We're hoping for this to be sooner than later!

Will this project be delayed until after ID 2 has been released? As the main characters are PB’s and now since book two has been announced, it might cause an issue down the line, seeing this was seen as the sequel.

We're going to continue this project at our pace. We don't know when we'll be releasing due to the small team we have. We've been clear from the beginning that this was a fan project. We are NOT Choices employees or affiliated, just fans who wanted to share our ideas via a fan project. We're still very excited about the project and to show our ideas to all of you :)

hi!! if we choose a masc body will we have fem clothing choices??

I have been doing my best to add several options for both masc and femme body types, so I'm aiming to do so! The goal is to have this game as inclusive as possible.
