Her eyes widened as a portion of the ruined rock hurtled toward her, shattering as it collided with the cliff face behind her. Never had she seen this side of him - raving, eyes glowing red, fists thrashing and punching anything he could make contact with - it was as if he was fighting some unknown entity, and for the first time in the span of time she had known him she felt fear.
What in the world was wrong with him? Did he have a nightmare? Was he even….awake?
“Kew! What are you doing?!?” Her voice was raised, the alarm that she felt was reflected in her tone. She was as concerned for her friend as she was the surrounding area, surely someone would hear the destruction being wrought - the sound paled to display the magnitude of the damage being done, to the landscape and to himself. His fists pounded into the ground, the aftershocks created knocked her off balance. Surely someone from the 2nd Division would be there soon, if they were not there already. “KEW! STOP IT!”
As his hand retracted to launch another rock at her, she knew that there was only one thing she could do. Restrain him so she could get close enough, to determine what exactly was going on with him. No, doing something that might be considered an attack would assuredly make matters worse. There was something she could do, something that might work. It was a risky move to be sure, but it was one that she was willing to take. If it failed, she would find herself in a highly unfavorable position. But he was her friend, and she had to try.
With a slight bend to her legs, already set in a defensive stance - she pushed hard off the ground with her back foot, to move to a stand directly behind him - her hand already in place, to hover over his eyes to cast the spell that would force him to sleep. Or at least force the conscious part of him to become dormant. “Inemuri.”
