My first thought in response to this was, "But what if Benjy got pregnant?" But no, this is better. Sirius is younger. It's safer and healthier for it to be him. You're right, you are. We're sticking with this.
Benjy wouldn't cry. His face might split in half from the sheer size of his smile, but he wouldn't cry. Benjy is a man of action. He'd take two seconds and then he'd be on his feet with Sirius in his arms. He'd gush and repeatedly say how overjoyed he is. He'd sit down each of their six dogs and their bearded dragon and their temporary mooncalf and tell them they're going to have a new brother or sister to look out for and protect. He'd insist Sirius does absolutely nothing at all, only sit around while Benjy waits on him hand and foot, rubs his feet and ankles, massages his back, hand feeds him meals. Benjy would give sit Sirius firmly in the lap of luxury (and Sirius would never stop complaining about it).
It's when they find out they're having twins that Benjy would sob enough tears to fill a swimming pool.
