i didn't plan to come back to tumblr for another week or so but here i am

and i need your help

i am being kicked out of my apartment at the start of September and because of undiagnosed serious depression I'm not able to continue on to the second year of uni

the plan is to move in with my partner on 25th August and work while she continues their degree. however to do that we need money for a deposit. money we do not have

it is very likely I'll be unable to get a job until after moving in and my partner isn't having any luck getting even an interview.

so that's where you come in

for the past few weeks I've been trying to raise some funds to put towards a deposit so me and my long-term partner can get a place together very early in September.

the usual deposit amount is between £600-£700 but few of the cheap places come with any more than just white goods so I've put the goal to £1000

since i haven't been able to get a paying job for just under a year, I've started volunteering so i can have some good experience on my cv but even that much is leaving me too physically pained and exhausted to search for part-time work to do until move in time

my partner has managed to find work but it's very physically demanding for the amount of pay they give her and the number of hours she's given each week is very inconsistent so we're unsure how much of the cost it will cover

a close friend of mine who isn't on tumblr is trying to raise money for bottom surgery. and to do this she's gonna walk across the whole of denmark.

personally, that sounds fucking insane. cause it is. but she's been talking about it for a bit and it seems entirely possible for her. i believe she can do it and i believe that she can reach her donation goal.

which is why I'm sharing this on here for her

i am not cringefail according to instagram autoresponder. however, scientific studies point to otherwise.

so i was really hoping this would be over.

But it wouldn't be being queer without untold financial trouble.

because of all your generous donations my partner and I managed to get a deposit down on a place (finally). it comes fully furnished and the bills would only be energy and internet. It would probably be rough for a little bit but we'd make it and it wouldn't be happening without the generous people on this site.

And then my bank removed my arranged overdraft.

There was no warning and i had to go in person to find out it's because it'd been sat at the maximum for about a month. so now I'm suddenly £1000 in actual debt that i need to pay off.

i was told if i can start paying it off i should be able to apply for it again but I'm currently only at the applying for jobs stage so i won't be getting a paycheck any time soon. the money you have all given so far is in a different account and will be supporting us with the cost of food and other living expenses. and my partner's can cover rent and utility bills for at least a month.

if you give £1 or more i can do a quick 5 minute doodle of anything you want to the best of my ability as a thank you. please be patient if it takes a bit to receive. there's a lot going on at this moment
