Logging off is helpful for sure but also unfollow or when I find myself reading discourse that I literally don’t need to be I stop myself and am like nope and just remove myself from those comments, posts etc. you can always block tags too and if all else fails log out and listen to some gangsta rap to remind yourself how badass and great you are and hype yo’self up get in vibe and ride that good energy wave cuz you got this bb people can be negative but you don’t need to pick up those vibes 💕

yeah today was a weird mixture of tiredness, heavy workload, restlessness, residual stress and like.... weird negative-not-negative-but-repetitive news/updates so yeah i just feel not great...... yes!!

I've been thinking about this for a bit. This isn't about anyone specific, not a callout post cuz I think we've all experienced it. I want to support writers like so much, I love writing myself but never had courage to put it out there so I support those who do and are so talented but it's so disappointing when you start a series and a writer just goes awol, I totally get people having lives, life comes first obvs but I won't even read on going stories now cuz I'm scared it won't get finished

I mean, I get it. My favorite series literally hasn’t updated in like a year. But also, as a writer who has abandoned plenty of series, if there isn’t that “you’re doing great!” from people are reading it, there just isn’t that need to put out more of it?? Like it doesn't FEEL like anyone is reading it. It feels like pity likes/reblogs/kudos/views without those comments and it’s like “oh well if people are just clicking out of pity, I can just.....stop posting, right?” And then if you do, you ONLY get comments like “update”, “update soon”, “it’s been a year....but update.” like every single comment is ABOUT updating and not about ya know, that they enjoy it lmao So, I GET it cause I’ve been there but also as a writer, I think the risk of a writer not finishing is way better than not bothering to give them the reads and feedback they need/deserve while writing, ya know?
