feelings when emily was born??????????

Definitely mixed emotions. I mean, come on. Imagine having a kid, but not being able to let them know that you were their father? You would be HEARTBROKEN. So, Corvo was happy. Little bundle of joy born, and she was his. I don’t think he ever really expected to become a father, and when he finally did, it had to have been the happiest day of his life. But it was also the most heartbreaking day of his life. He would be allowed to spend time with her, but never like a REAL father. I’m sure that every day when he looked at the little bundle in Jessamine’s arms, or even in his own arms, behind his smile there was so much grief because she would never call him father (things changed after Jessamine passed of course), and she would never know that he was her father. Sure, he probably planned on telling her some day, but during the most crucial part of her life, when she was only a little girl, she would be forced to call him ‘Corvo,’ and that was all, and that hurt him more than anything. Oh, on another note, he definitely sobbed when she was born.

what do you think makes ur portrayal of the outsider unique????

I find every portrayed character here unique simply because they have different writers. I am no similar to any other blog for The Outsider, just like no two Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano muses are similar. We are all given a basis ; a character with a certain amount of details and histories, their role in a story. Once we begin the writing process in their perspective, the character is molded and adapted to the interpretation of the writer. That’s quite honestly the whole point and my favorite thing about roleplay. 

But to answer your question a bit more directly; while I write The Outsider, I write him with human emotion and inhuman perception. A bored, meddling, disinterested entity. One that has lived far too long and has an equal longing and fear of his eventual catastrophic death. One that equally wants platonic companionship and understands they will never receive it. One that’s lonely and always in a fearful place, but has grown an attachment to the feeling of isolation because that’s all he’s known. One that has long lost interest in the human race but at this point it’s all he has, so he fixates on when his pessimistic assumptions are proven wrong. 

AKA he’s a whale baby that feels isolated and is wickedly pessimistic because the human race is a predictable disaster. I’m sure I’m at least mildly similar in that respect with other portrayals, but I’ve made this one my own. :^)
