⠀⠀           numerous times the sharp clang of blades sounded. strike by strike between two blade wielding opponents. neither relented to the other as glares were exchanged by any moment they were in a struggle as blades were held against the other.

⠀⠀           it was merely a session of training. postures seemed poised to kill however.

⠀⠀           uncertainty what had the emperor and vengess within grasp to consider this spar with seriousness.

⠀⠀           through, the vengess was first to close the distance between either, following with more swings at their opponent. with one such being avoided as the emperor stepped back. a parry ready as the blackened blade came for the decisive blow.

⠀⠀           ❝ . . . ❞ with her own blade deflected, the saber held her own to the avenger.

I might not look it but I’m no stranger to labour work. ❞ he’d grown a simple boy, used to carry heavy things and knows his way around hammers and other tools, so he could be of some use. ❝ Or perhaps should I keep my end of the bargain and prepare something for you? ❞

❝Are you mad, that I had all the glory and you remained here with the master?❞ She teased, a faint smirk as she watched Nero. ❝If you wish, next time I an be left behind and you can claim all the glory.~!❞ she added, waiting to see what her fellow servant would suggest.

&. 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬. 

⠀⠀            breath had a shallow sound to it. for as powerful as she was, a limit of stamina remained. fighting hordes for enemies without respite took it’s toll on her.

⠀⠀             with blade stabbed into the earth as support, being on one knee to catch her breath, the words of the Saber caused the lightest twitch of the lips, nearly growling before catching herself.

⠀⠀            ❝ be quiet. you could not do half the things i could even if you wanted to. ❞ a light chuckle following.

⠀⠀            rising back to her feet to turn her head to the Emperor. not having forgotten the last encounter between them.
