Despite being a minute Singularity it still felt like vacations – cottages in the mountains with rowdy campers, the summer sun against their skin and long days ahead of them. As a mountain guy himself who also went camping numerous, Saber felt right at home in that setting. The only “inconvenient” was having to deal with another guy bearing his face hanging around and both of them wanting to punch each other. Oh well, it can’t always be perfect. ❝ Ah, Yuuki. ❞ Saber walked towards the Master, wearing a loose graphite shirt and beige slackers along with comfortable shoes. For a moment he did consider wearing a cap or pulling his hair back, but it didn’t sit well with him having to change his appearance because of that guy. ❝ Now that everyone is settled I’m going to make some curry. I was thinking about something different, have you ever tried summer vegetables curry? ❞

They have barely started walking in the countryside and the languid Englishman was already short of breath, lagging behind his companion – really, he had always been a city individual, not suited for treks in the wilderness. What kind of barbaric twat found out that the best way to indulge some leisure time was to stay outside under the scalding summer sun and being subject of insect bites should rot in hell. He wheezed and gasped, yet would not complain to her face. ❝ Are we…there yet? ❞ his voice actually failed him for a moment. One would likely blame his smoking habits but the truth was that he was never the outdoor type. Ah, how much he wished to be at a café enjoying some tea and perusing the internet, or perhaps in his apartment playing some MMO and not at who-knows-where. …At least Boss looked pleasing to his eyes.

Trying to regain his composure, he finally said. ❝ Is that some sort of romantic getaway in the mountains, lady? ❞ there was a tinge of sarcasm hiding in his tired tone. ❝ Next time let us try a place closer to a road. ❞ They have been walking for less than 15 minutes….

It was concerning that they were deep in the mountains unable to contact Chaldea and in a location that sought to replicate horror movies – but there was no point in worrying about things that cannot be addressed or without enough clue to unravel the mystery so might as well use the opportunity to rest for as long as possible. Besides, relinquishing his red garbs also had him in a more relaxed mien. ❝ Any plans for today? I’m thinking about a short walk at the forest after breakfast and then join in the fun. ❞ it has been so long since he has had some fun for himself. The last Summer Singularity he’d work as a lifesaver at a pool and every now and then worked at a food truck.

The adventurer had always wanted to take Mitsuru for one of his travels, even if it would be a short (and hopefully adventure-free) outing. His family boat was nothing like the yacht the upper-class individuals were used to, it was far more rustic in appearance and far more durable, with both the conveniences of modern technology and more traditional nautical apparatus. The upper deck had been fitted with lounging chairs and other items that one would expect to find during a cruise—including a mini-fridge. The young man was wearing an olive swimming trunks and a very loose-fitting white shirt, approaching Mitsuru with some refreshments he had just prepared and offering it to her. ❝ We should be arriving at the lagoon soon. ❞

It was early in the morning and the Heroic Spirit was already up and walking along the lake before going in to prepare breakfast when he caught a glimpse of a familiar figure. Approaching the girl from the side, he decided to greet her. ❝ Good morning, Miyu. You are early. ❞ the tall man walked closer, the chilly breeze against his skin and the scent of the woods made him slightly nostalgic ❝ If I recall correctly you too are from a town in the mountains, right? ❞ it has been a while since he’d engaged in small talk with someone so young, so he was a little self-conscious in not startling her too much.
