In The End...
Ok, but at the end of Supernatural, when Dean and Sam die in a flicker of screaming glory (and together till the end, because that's the only way they could go out) and Castiel takes them up to heaven, because let's be honest, they deserved every scrap of peace they can lay their hands on....
.
.
.
Whatever you do, don't imagine Baby. Don't imagine her sitting in a vacant parking lot or in an empty field or on the side of the road, keys still in the ignition and one of Dean's cassette tapes, the greatest hits of mullet rock, resting on the dashboard. Sam's laptop is in the backseat, along with a couple hamburger wrappers and an old magazine littering the floor. Half of an army man is still sticking out of the cigarette tray and when the light hits the windows just right, it highlights a set of faded initials dotted with dried blood.
She's just waiting. Waiting for her boys to come home.
Then.
Then Castiel comes back. And he's crying as he slips into the passenger side (Not the driver's side, that was Dean's place, and he doesn't dare violate that) and he starts her up and slips in the cassette and lets the tears run from closed eyes. Because if he concentrates, he can hear Sam typing in the backseat and complaining about Dean belting out the old songs while he drums on her steering wheel. Because they might be in Heaven, where they should be, but he still wants them here.
And when he finally allows himself to slide over to the driver's side, he shifts her in reverse and hits the road. Cas drives around for days (a single slice of cherry pie in a container that used to be full, and a single pair of mouse ears that read 'Sammy ' in cursive, joins the laptop and garbage) until he pulls up to Garth's current home. Cas knocks on the door and when Garth stands in front of him, he sobs again. And this time, he's not the only one.
In the end, he leaves Baby with Garth. Take care of her, he asks, stroking the hood. Take care of her, for she is a beautiful lady. And Garth does. And the years pass by, in an eon and a blink. And Garth still gives out advice to the other hunters, but he mostly stays where he is. Then one day, out of the blue, a hunter pulls in the driveway. But this is nothing new.
Then two boys tumble out of the backseat. The older one looks a bit too old for his age and trails after his father like a faithful puppy, desperate for attention. The younger has hair that hasn't been cut in months, that falls into sunflower eyes as he tries to read his book and picks at a bandaid on the back of his tiny hand. The hunter asks Garth to watch them for a few days. Just a week or so, long enough to kill some bastard and come back. And as their father pulls away, the boys don't look as sad as they should. This is normal, this is their life.
So Garth leads them out to Baby, and they're excited because she's such a beautiful car and can we sit up front Mr. Garth, please, Dad never lets us sit up front, please? He lets them dig around in the box of cassette tapes until they find one they like and he smiles when they sing along too loud and drum on the seat cushion. And he tells them about two brothers who saved the world just before they go to bed, and whispers "Angels are watching over us" when they ask about the monsters in the dark.
And nearby, one angel is.
Implaalterous, Implalterous, or Inexalterous
Impla- / inex- Never being satisfied with your orientation due to constant self-doubt, causing one to search and seek out something that fits as perfect as possible. Similar to Xum- but not specific to neurodivergent people.
(Impla- / inex- come froms latin words implacatus/inexpletus which means unsatisfied).
Alterous attraction is described as neither being (entirely/completely) platonic nor romantic, & is an attraction best described as wanting emotional closeness without necessarily being (at all or entirely) platonic &/or romantic, & is used in the place of -romantic or -platonic (so say bi-alterous instead of bi-romantic). Someone can be both alterous & romantic &/or platonic & can have varying degrees on attraction, ultimately feel discomfort / unease / or just a sense of inaccuracy in calling it wholly romantic or platonic. Similar to queerplatonic/quasiplatonic/quirkyplatonic attraction but not quite the same.

My dream car.
I saw an Impala in our school parking lot this morning and I just stared at it grinning like an idiot.
