just a little pattern I noticed... which- obviously, duh- he was once hopeful he'd live forever if he didn't kill anyone, and slowly his hope dwindled over the years because of how impossible that was and also just the real world settling in on finally as he got older. then with the possibility of living is presented via the map, he's looking back on it like 'oh damn. this could actually be a reality' (not really living forever but at least continuing to live for his brother's (and his own) sake. and then when the problems start popping up(the plot is plotting, and it's evil and no good) he starts getting frustrated and feeling like things are unfair as nobody else has to fight this hard (at least to his knowledge and in this case) to live.
at least that's just what I think lmao- these are just some silly doodles I did the moment I realized there was just a pattern. which- yea, clearly there is gonna be one especially with this character and in this (and probably the coming) arcs of the story. with the parallels of the two groups of brothers and slowly coming to the agreement of working together sort of- Bendy and Cuphead being the parallels of one another as they both have some form of pessimism while Mugman and Boris are parallels of one another in the way of taking things seriously and being protective of their brothers(in different but VERY similar ways). not sure if that makes any sense to anybody BUT me.
