honestly i hope that when len comes back he literally fights every single person he ever hears calling mick dumb and shit cuz personally thats the fuck what i would do if i were him mick deserves all good things after everything hes been through and im getting sick of the mistreatment he recieves by the rest of the team
Honestly same. Mick does deserve better. I’ve thought about a million different scenarios about lens return (don’t judge but when shows don’t give me what I want it sorta happens). And if Len never finds out about Micks maltreatment (which will probably happen cause I'm 99% sure that Leonard doesn't know what Rip said back in S1 when they were with the time pirates) then I’m going to be so pissed off. Leonard needs to get Mick away from them (then I have no reason to watch the stupid ass show anymore). It’s really sad to see that the only people that have ever treated mick with respect are/were a couple of criminals. You’d think that ‘heroes’ would know better.
(it's me again) Dragon AU; Len is cursed to freeze everything he touches if he can't find a way to break the curse and is driven out of the city as a result. Dragon!Mick finds a very cold and angry Len, and Len has the most dramatic fit over not being able to freeze the dragon because that is the ONE time this curse would be useful so of course it doesn't work. (bonus - Len goes back after breaking the curse with a dragon in tow to get Lisa and leave because wow the city sucks.)
Nonny I have been agonizing over this prompt—in a good way, don’t worry. See, this right here? This could easily take 5,000 words, and I’m trying to keep each prompt under 2500.
In other words: I AM TERRIBLY SORRY THIS IS LATE AND ALSO I LOVE YOU FOR SENDING ME DRAGON AUS LIKE OMG BABY CAKES <3
It’s not every day you see yoursupposedly dead brother riding on the back of a dragon and shouting puns atyour father. But then, Lisa supposes, Thursdays are fun days.
Besides, Lisa could use someentertainment with her lunch. Watching her father be devoured by a twenty tondragon really lifts the mood. Watching her brother rush to her makes it evenbetter.
The siblings embrace. Lisareleases a quiet breath of relief when Len’s curse doesn’t freeze her ass off.
“Did you find True Love’s Kissthen?” she teases—because if she doesn’t banter with him she’ll start crying, and she can’t have that, can she?
Lenny scoffs as they separate. His hair’s greyer than it used to be, but he pulls it off well.
“More like a loophole,” hesays.
On cue, his dragon friend setsthe entire Great Hall on fire.
“I got a fire dragon instead,”Lenny tells her unnecessarily. “He lends me his inner flame; I direct him tobig scores.”
Oo, that sounds interesting. Lisaputs on her best pout. “So you just decided to pay me a visit and have funwithout me?”
Len’s mouth quirks. “Wouldn’tdream of it, sis. Got my eye on Palmer’s priceless collection. There’s a goldring with your name on it.” Lisa brightens considerably. “And I’m sure West can handle things here.”
“Well then,” Lisa sighs, “Isuppose I can overlook your late arrival. But what about my dragon?”
Len guides her to Mick’ssaddle. “Oh, did I not tell you? Palmer’s home is guarded by a black dragon.More bird than reptile, they say—the Black Canary.”
Lisa’s eyes sparkle. “No youdidn’t tell me, you jerk.”
“Trainwreck.”
Lisa missed her brother so muchit hurt.
Once she’s hoisted in thesaddle, he walks to Mick’s head, both arms settling at the side of his greatjowls as if he’s not at all worried he’ll burn too. Mick’s great eye rolls tohim as Len begins to speak in low tones. Lisa can’t hear anything over thescreaming, but there’s definitely some petting going on. Is her brother kissing Mick’s scales?
There’s a rumor that somedragons have human forms. Lisa smirks.
Lenny climbs up behind her.Mick turns around and takes off.
It’s okay. It’ll be alright. Justbreathe. Smell the dust, the mold; taste the ash, the dim candlelight; wonderwhen and how those candles were lit before your arrival.
This tomb is quite ancient bynow.
Crunch…crunch…crunch…
Feel a cold wind prick the hairson the back of your neck. Know that you are not supposed to seek refuge here.Know that you are not alone.
But you are—you must be. ‘Yes,’you rationalize, ‘I am completely alone.’
The whispers stop.
Crunch…crunch…crunch…
Distract yourself. Read thenames on each square stone. Marvel that there’s actually a casket, a body, alife once lived, hidden behind each one like a carnival game. You haven’t beento the carnival in years, but you’ll still remember the taste of salty popcornand the screaming laughter of children.
And then you will realize thatthe latter is not just a memory. You hear it with your ears, right here, rightnow. Just outside those doors.
Crunch…crunch…halt.
Read the names. Read the names.
Whisper them to yourself. Seeyour breath in wisps of steam. It will calm you down.
“Mark Mardon. Shawna Baez. RoyBivolo.”
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Breathe.
“Hartley Rathaway. Axel Walker.”
There are more. Turn around.
Yes, you see them now. The threeurns encased behind tarnished glass. Flowers, long dead, droop in a vase nailedinto the wall beside two of them.
The one in the middle has novase.
“Lisa Snart,” you whisper, looking to the left.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
“Mick Rory.”
KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK—
Yell in a desperate attempt todrown out the noise; “Leonard Snart!”
—Silence.
Feel unsettled. Be remindedthat you are not supposed to be here. You do not know how you know, only thatit fills every pore and shivers down your spine with frightening certainty.
You are not supposed to behere.
…aren’t you?
C. r. e. a. k.
Do not turn around. He isbehind you.
Do not turn around.
Do not.
Turn.
Around.
Close your eyes. If you do notsee him, then he is not there.
Feel his cold breath on theback of your head, but whatever you do, donot turn around.
Shh.
They’re here now. They’re allhere.
Shh.
Stay still. Listen to the lowwind brushing through the open door. Listen to their whispers returning to yourears.
Take a deep breath. Exhale, slow. His hand is traveling from the base of your spine, up, up, up to yourshoulder. His thumb brushes against your neck. You can feel it vividly, yet atthe same time it’s a faint shade.
He is closing in on you. They are closing in on you. Theysurround you now; you must be careful.
Watch out. One of them istrying to touch you. One that isn’t him.
But that’s okay.
Swallow. Try not to twitch asone of them takes your hand.
But that’s okay. That’s okay.
He is whispering to you now. Youhear exactly what he is saying.
