Haunted House

Summary: Eric and his psychic co-worker “The Host” explore a mansion that is said to be haunted.

(Iplier Mansion)

Eric and his long time crush and co-work Alex aka the Host arrived at the local Haunted Mansion, know as the Iplier Mansion. This mansion is about a century old and no has been in this house since the 1920′s. During that time a famous actor, Mark Iplier and his wife Ceceline Iplier lived in that house. It is said that during a Poker Night, that Mark invited his old friends too. A murder happened in this house and it is said the souls of the victims still haunt this mansion.

Eric and the Host are there to see if any this is even true or not. Alex is the Psychic of the team and prefers to be called the Host. Apparently the spirits use him as a vessel to communicate with the living. This can be very dangerous as the Host might get possessed. Eric is the technician of the group, collecting evidence of the hauntings and see if the place is truly haunted or not. And if it is then, see what kind of ghost they were dealing with.

Eric normally did the sweep of the house first with someone from his team and then they would bring in the Host to help cleansing of the house. However, the Host insisted on joining Eric on this trip. That confused Eric, but Eric wasn’t going to turn down the help. As Eric and the Host entered the mansion, they were instantly hit with a wave of dread. The air felt so heavy, all the furniture was covered with sheets, at least an inch thick layer of dust and cobwebs.

Eric took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Why is he so nervous all of sudden? He’s done countless ghost hunting jobs before, but he’s never felt this anxious before. Eric looked over at the Host and seemed like he was starting to zone out.

“Getting anything Host?” Eric asked.

“So much - pain. A huge betrayal happened here.” The Host said.

Eric waited a minute for the Host to join him. If the Host is getting a reading already, then chances are this place truly is haunted. Eric started to set up equipment around the mansion. EMF Reader, digital thermometer, ghost box, camera, and voice reordered. Eric also started to set up some motion detectors set up to some cameras. So, if anything goes by the motion detector the camera will capture it.

Eric and the Host began to explore the mansion. At first they weren’t picking up anything, that is until they came to the stairs. Host began to go up the stairs and started to flashes of images flash before his mind’s eye on what happened here.

“Where is he?! Are you hiding him?! Detective!!!” Host shouted. He made it to the top of the staircase. “Murder! They fell here! It was an accident! I swear!”

Host stumble backwards, breathing heavily. “Host? Are you alright?” Eric asked concerned. He never seen Host like this before. This must be a very power ghost then.

“So much pain! There wasn’t just one murder but two! One was an accident but the other I’m not sure.” Host explained.

“Do want to stop? Come back tomorrow?”

“We can’t. Someone’s trying to tell us something.” Host didn’t know why but he felt as if someone is trapped here and is trying to get through.

The two of them went down the hall a little more and opened one of the doors. It led to another hallway. This one had a hall of portraits on the walls. As Eric and Host went further down the hallway, they noticed that the eyes and faces of some were all crossed out with red paint across their faces.

Towards the end of the hallway stood a mirror, but looked as if it were glowing? Eric whipped out his camcorder and began filming it just make sure it isn’t his eyes playing tricks on him. Next to the mirror stood to portraits. One, Eric recognized at the once famous actor, Mark Iplier. The other Eric isn’t too sure about but possibly thought it might have been the former mayor Damien.

Then they heard it. A soft, echoing, haunted like voice, as though they couldn’t talk above a a whisper. A very faint hand print appeared on the mirror but looked as if it were coming from the inside of the mirror.

“Damien?” The Ghost voiced asked. “Why? Why did you leave me here? Why did you betray me, Damien?”
