I had to have an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy done today,, and unfortunately I cannot stop thinking about the last memories I have before the procedure,, 😵‍💫

One of the people in the room was a very attractive queer person who went on to explain that for the EGD portion of the procedure, they needed to put a bite block in my mouth to protect my teeth and keep my mouth open for them during sedation.

At the same time, another person starts pushing sedatives into my iv and I am starting to feel really heavy and dizzy.

Suddenly they had gently grabbed my chin and tilted it back a bit, asking me to open before placing the rather large piece of plastic into my mouth and fastening it behind my head. “Sorry I know it’s kinda uncomfortable”.

I couldn’t help but get quite flustered and it’s got me thinking about things still 😵‍💫🩷
