People sending u support in anon messages isn’t the same as them being pushy and ‘trying to be friends’ idk why u feel the need to vague people who are just being nice

It wasn’t about the anon messages! It was about people becoming way too personal with me way too fast and expecting the same of me.

I’ve never enjoyed the online expectation to become instant friends with every mutual you make. Even my friends I have now, which I love so freaking dearly and deeply, they’re my besties, had to kinda get through my awkward, distanced exterior.

I realise my expectations or standards for friends can seem odd, but those standards are built on my own personal life experiences that I truly don’t need to disclose on the internet.

I have a tough shell, even if I seem outwardly nice and understanding. I’m sick of people confusing my patience with friendship. Also this is the internet, people can lie about who they are much easier than irl.

Like I said in my post you’re referring to, I believe a lot of my mutuals are good people who would make great friends and I really do respect them and care for their well being. I just- friend is a category I struggle with and only a very select few tend to land there.

Also I’m autistic, having a lot of friends isn’t on my wish list or a real priority. The few friends I have are people I’d ride and die for, and I’m content with that. (Also most of us know each other irl and/or interact a lot ahaha)

So true about the MelJay thing, most self proclaimed fujoshis just haven’t grown out of their internalised misogyny phase. I also find that Mel being canonically an attractive woman, people perceive her as a ‘shallow evil seductress b*tch getting in the way of gay love’ or smth. Despite Mel getting so many scenes that show why she’s not that lmfao. Ik this is usually a helluva/hazbin blog but this issue is even seen in those fandoms too, I think a lot of MelJay haters see Mel as Stella loll

Mmhmm! I was so distraught when they couldn’t get to spend time healing together. I’d like to think in the infinite realities everyone survives and lives happily 😭

Also yea, I have seen some JayVik shippers get really snippy and toxic with anyone who even likes Mel as a character, not even just the relationship itself. And that’s uh… a red flag.

She’s a kind hearted person who’s harmed by the environment she grew up in. She purposefully avoids violence, sure she’s cunning and manipulative, but are those truly flaws? They’re strengths! She single handedly placates the piltover institutions higher ups and keeps them happy so that they won’t act out against the disadvantaged. Yes she has self interest, but everyone SHOULD have some form of self interest and preservation.

It’s so weird that she seems to get more hate, compared to characters like SILCO. Like some ooooon.

Note before anyone gets pissed: I obviously prefer Mel in a lot of ways, but I’m not against either ship lol
