These luxurious dark chocolate red wine truffles are the perfect indulgence for Valentine's Day. The combination of rich dark chocolate and fruity red wine creates a decadent treat that is sure to impress your loved one.
Ingredients: 200g dark chocolate 70% cocoa, finely chopped. 1/3 cup heavy cream. 1/4 cup red wine choose a rich, full-bodied variety. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for coating.
Instructions: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just starts to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for a minute, then gently stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Stir in the red wine until fully incorporated into the chocolate mixture. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to scoop. Using a spoon or a small scoop, portion out the chocolate mixture and roll into small balls. Roll each ball in cocoa powder until evenly coated. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes. Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
