Acting...
Acting...it's my life. I love to be on the stage and just be a completely different person. I don't like myself or who I am, so having the ability and opportunity to create an entirely new person is enthralling. It's even more rewarding because that character or role that you're portraying is written by someone else, so you're essentially bringing their own creation to life. But it's also terrifying because you never know if how you're portraying them is what the playwright or author wanted. It's all perception and different takes and opinions.
I love it. You can mold and shape an entire audience into whatever you want. You peel the layers of yourself off and put on a new skin; one that's only two-dimensional, but you breathe life into it. It's such a rush and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. I'd like to be compared to James Dean one day, even though he's so far above any other actor I've heard of.
I'm so sorry, I always make these impromptu speeches about stuff. I've got to cut back on these...
