⤷ ゛rival!rohan kishibe begins leaving anonymous “critique” letters in your mailbox—brutally honest breakdowns of your latest chapter with tiny, perfect doodles correcting your perspective lines. You retaliate by mailing him your own letters with your own nitpicking and sarcastic compliments. He keeps every single one pressed between the pages of his sketchbooks.

⤷ ゛rival!rohan kishibe once used Heaven’s Door on you during a deadline crunch just to read what you really think of him. The page literally says “I want to punch his stupidly pretty face and then kiss it until he shuts up.” He closes the book so fast he nearly drops it, face burning.

⤷ ゛You two end up in a very public, very petty war after you commented in a review about his sloppy writing. "It's inspiring he still carries on with such bland ideas. Since then, anytime your name is mentioned, on the rare occasion he does an interview, he responds with that same tone you do. This dispute is what the whole town of Morioh lives for. rival!rohan kishibe draws cryptic art of a dramatic caricature of you (not so subtly, mind you) with devil horns holding a pen like a dagger and submits it to local papers; you reply with a doodle of him as a haughty peacock with all flashy. Fans make ship edits within hours.

⤷ ゛rival!rohan kishibe biggest weakness is that he cannot stand when you ignore him. If you skip his gallery opening to finish your own chapter, he shows up at your apartment with takeout and demands you “at least have the decency to tell me your work is more important than mine to my face.”

⤷ ゛rival!rohan kishibe starts drawing you constantly—never asking permission. You find entire sketchbooks filled with you in different lighting, different outfits, even you laughing mid-argument. When you confront him he just shrugs: “Reality is more interesting when you’re in it.”

⤷ ゛Your first “date” isn’t even a date. It’s a bet: whoever sells more volumes of their next tankobon gets to make the loser do whatever they want for one night. You win by three copies. rival!rohan kishibe expects humiliation; instead you drag him to a quiet onsen and make him relax for once. He falls asleep on your shoulder and wakes up mortified.

⤷ ゛acquaintance!rohan kishibe is absurdly jealous when other artists flirt with you at panals. Heaven’s Door almost gets used on a rival mangaka who calls your art “cute.” You have to physically drag Rohan away while whispering, “If you rewrite him I’m breaking up with you before we even start dating.”

⤷ ゛acquaintance!rohan kishibe teaches you advanced inking techniques in his studio at 2 a.m. while both of you are delirious from caffeine. The lesson turns into a competition of who can draw the other faster and more accurately. It slowly develops into you both stripping and posing for the other for "a more accurate full-body sketch."

Okuyasu... our beloved Okuyasu.

He doesn't really recognize he's jealous at first. He just knows he does NOT like the way this student from a few classes over is talking to you.

Once he DOES realize it (thanks to the help of josuke teasing him and/or koichi telling him) he is a liiiiiitle pouty around you.

(if he realized it sooner, while you were still talking to them, he would've gone over and tried to start a fight)

When you finally confront him about it during the walk back to his place after school, he hesitates to tell you he's jealous.

Okuyasu truly believes that he isn't smart and doesn't believe he's the most attractive man out there, he doesn't want to burden you with things that upset him, because why should you? He worships the ground you walk on and believes you're God's greatest gift to him, he doesn't want to muddy you up with his self-referred "ugly feelings"

But, after more pushing, and telling him that he doesn't need to deal with his tougher emotions alone, and that you want to handle them together with him, he finally cracks. And Okuyasu is nothing if not honest. When he's ready to tell you about something that upsets him, it will be direct and point blank.

"...I didn't like the way that guy from 1-B was talking to you." He says, crossing his arms with a slight pout, "He kept leaning down to you, it looked like he wanted to kiss ya..." He grumbled out and avoided looking at you. "It.. made me feel jealous."

"Aw, Oku..." You lean up and give him a kiss on the nose. You're taken aback slightly, you never thought Okuyasu would be the jealous type. But, this explains the sulking and the pouting.

"I know, it's dumb," He says, huffing a little "But I can't help it.. I don't like thinkin' about someone taking what's mine..."

You can't help but laugh a little and he looks embarrassed.

"N-Not that you're like my property or nothin'..! I-I just meant like-"

You cut him off with a quick kiss.

"Thank you for telling me," You say and smile at him, "If it's any consolation, he was asking me where I got my bag charm." You say, jingling it around a little before looking back up at him. He looks a little embarrassed and glances away.

"You are the only person I want to be in a relationship with, Oku," You smile and cup his face in your hands. He hopes nobody else on the planet gets to know how soft your hands are except him.

"I promise you I won't let it happen again, though. If you're nearby I'll make sure to point out you're my boyfriend, okay?"

He seems satisfied with this and nods, smiling as he leans down and kisses you. You return the kiss and smile as you pull away.

"Ready to hit the books?"

Bonus: If you've been dating for over a year, Okuyasu's trust builds in you and he doesn't get jealous easily anymore. However, this doesn't mean you're off the hook completely. If you attend an event together and he sees you talking to someone he doesn't now, he walks over all over you. Arm around your shoulders, and on your waist, kissing you passionately in front of others, he just doesn't want his angel taken away

Rohan:

THE most drama queen to ever drama

A common date for the two of you is to go shopping. Rohan's wardrobe is immaculate, and if you're dating him you wardrobe either has to be on par or better than his. (not that he'd ever admit you dress better than him)

But you don't just go shopping, you're going to the designer stores. You're there often enough that the sales associates recognize you both (Rohan) as big spenders and always gives you crazy good hospitality.

Easy entrance, sparkling water, fitting room without others around, etc.

However, this particular seemed to have a new sales associate who (somehow miraculously got the privelidge of helping you two) couldn't quite tell the difference between being hospitable or being flirty... so while Rohan is browsing on his own and you're trying something on, when you step out to check with Rohan on his opinion, the employee makes the mistake of telling you how the shirt you're trying on "matches your eyes so well" and that it "suits your figure perfectly". Rohan is in fact in listening distance, he did not stray far.

Unfortunately not only does he recognize he's jealous, he goes out of his way to let you know he's jealous. With Rohan though, he's going through stages.

Stage 1: Overconfidence and Condescening the target

This is where Rohan scoffs in the face of whoever/whatever is causing his jealousy.

"Obviously they look good in it, you mongrel," Rohan scoffs and crosses his arms, striding over to you. He purposefully blocks the employees view of you.

"My parter would look good in anything," He continues, "I'm sure they could even make your boring outfit, if you could even call it that, look ten-thousand times better than whatever the hell you're doing right now." (the employee was too stunned to speak)

Does he normally talk down to people like this? Sometimes. This feels like it's... a bit much.

Stage 2: POUTING and silent treatment

You both finish up in the store, make your purchases, and exit swiftly. He hails a cab and does not say a WORD to you on the ride home. It is awkward. Upon arrival to the house, Rohan pays and slams the car door shut BEFORE you can get out. (he does not tip, you do before exiting the car) he does the same thing with the door of the house.

He will make it very known something is wrong. He doesn't say anything to you, and goes up into his office to let off some steam.

Stage 3: Letting time pass

Rohan knows he can be... a bit of a hothead. in polite terms.

He'll hole himself up in his office until he's ready to speak with you. He knows it wasn't your fault deep down, but he's mad at the situation. He does not want to accidentally take it out on you.

After a few hours, you're getting ready for bed. You let him have his space and as you're doing nightly skincare at your vanity, Rohan enters the bedroom.

"...Hi," You greet, glancing over to him before returning to your gaze in the mirror, "Do... you want to talk about earlier?"

"Not particularly," Rohan grumbles, crossing his arms before letting out a sigh, "...But, we probably should."

You pat your cheeks with a sigh, letting the moisturizer settle into your skin before standing up and walking over to him. You move your hands up to rest on his shoulders.

He won't bring up the fact he's insecure, you will have to do some emotional investigation.

"I don't plan on leaving you anytime soon, y'know." You say with a smile "...Or ever, for that matter."

"..Hmph." Rohan hums with a slight smirk, his hands coming down to rest on your waist, "Of course not. Who else would compare to me?"

aaaand he's back.

Bonus: If you've been dating for a few years, eventually the pouting and cooldown time become significantly shorter time periods. The overconfidence and condescention.. i fear that he is just Like That

Josuke:

oh my sweet beautiful gorgeous darling sweetie pie honey bunches baby boy...

Josuke is hanging out with Koichi outside of the school, catching up on the weekend. You're with some friends of yours, catching up on their weekend.

He knows when he's jealous. He hates feeling like it though, because he doesn't want to get angry towards you, even if it's on accident.

He is a loverboyyyy. But, that doesn't mean that watching his classmate talk to you doesn't get his blood boiling.

Why are you laughing at what he said? It probably wasn't even that funny.

"Well I wasn't trying to be funny, I was asking if you've liked the new F-MEGA game," Koichi pouted as realization dawned upon Josuke,

oh, i said that out loud, he thinks. a look of embarrassment crosses his face and he smiles sheepishly

Josuke wants to trust you, he REALLY does. and he does fully 100%! However he does not trust others so much when it comes to you. And Josuke's nothing if not...

"Hey, how would you like to check out the new popup with me sometime?" Yuto asks

(you know how he is with his hair? you are almost at the same level. you're just lucky he doesn't start fights on your behalf)

He bolts up from his seat and strides over, seeing red, but trying to play it off like it's a natural conversation. He swings his arm around your shoulders, "Hey babe!" he says, extra emphasis on the petname, "I'm glad I was able to catch you before break is over. We still on for our date tonight?"

you didn't have a date tonight. well, not 2 minutes ago. but after knowing Josuke for so long, you can tell when he's exuding a certain vibe.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," You smile at him, resting your hand on top of his on your shoulder before turning back to Yuto, "Sorry, maybe another time..."

Yuto is a bit embarrassed, apologizes, and leaves you be. You turn to your lover with a smirk.

"Jealous much?" you tease. Josuke just groans and puts his head down on your shoulder.

Bonus: He really tries to be aware of his popularity. He knows girls fawn after him too, and tries not to make you jealous as a result. He is 100% the best communicator as to how he's feeling and checks in on you to make sure he doesn't accidentally upset you.

sunlight streamed in from the sheer curtains of jonathan’s bedroom window, a warm caress over his face that woke him up from his slumber. he had slept so well with you in his arms, his large arm wrapped over your waist like some sort of protective gesture while you slept. your body was just so warm next to his, and he loved you too much to let you go.

he let out a silent yawn to avoid waking you up, his eyes fluttering open in hopes of meeting your peaceful face. however, when his blue eyes met your figure, he was surprised to see you lying so…rigedly. not only were you lying flat on your back, but your arms were perfectly straight by your side and your legs were no better. 

jonathan blinked a few times at the sight. not that there was anything wrong with sleeping on your back — but he was admittedly caught off-guard by how precisely your body was positioned. it was like you were ready to be put in a casket or something!

…

“did i kill them!?” 

somehow the worst-case scenario flashed into his mind. what if he accidentally crushed you at one point in the night? what if he suffocated you? what if you were terribly ill and didn’t know and had exactly 24 hours left to live? his first time sleeping with you would definitely be the last, it seemed, and though he was a smart guy, it was hard to stay rational when he cared about you so much. 

what was he going to do? was there even any time to get you medical care? he should check for a pulse first—

hckkkk!

the sudden snore you let out removed any need for him to check your pulse, and also put his nerves to ease. he sighed a breath of relief realising he was overreacting, feeling his cheeks grow a little hotter now that processed how much of an overreaction he just had. “i suppose you just sleep like that,” he murmured to himself, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips now despite his embarrassment because you really had him worried over something so silly. 

his hand reached out to brush his knuckles gently over your cheek, taking in the sight of you as your chest rose and fell with each gentle breath you took, something he probably should have noticed right away. after the scare he just had, he was far too awake to fall asleep again, but he was content in just watching you for a while longer until you woke up.

when joseph finally wakes up from what he would describe as the best sleep of his life, he finds himself sprawled out like a child on the bed, the blanket all tangled and half way off the bed. it took him a moment to actually will himself to sit up because he was just too comfortable, but then he eventually remembered you were next to him and that the two of you had made plans, so naturally he forced himself awake. 

with a tired scratch to the back of his neck, he turned to his right, expecting to see you all curled up, but instead he found you lying there stiff as a board. like, literally. even with his constant movement throughout the night, you literally had not moved, your limbs in a perfect straight line that made him raise an eyebrow. 

“what kind of person sleeps like that?” he muttered out loud to himself, his lips twitching up into an amused grin. “if i didn’t know any better i’d say you were dead…” he teases you even as you sleep, snickering at his own comments as he shifts closer to you on the bed, blanket be damned, and pulls you into his chest. 

you stir at the sudden movement, a quiet noise of protest escaping your lips at being woken up like this, but he just grins. “i’m just making sure you’re alive,” he hums quietly, even though you had no idea what he was on about. you could tell from his tone he was making fun of you though, playfully, of course. joseph then presses a kiss to your forehead. “you can go back to sleep now. i’ll make fun of you later, don’t worry.” 

you were so very confused, but too asleep to ask any questions, so you just accepted the place he had made for you in his arms and fell back asleep curled against him.

being a mangaka, rohan didn’t like to waste a second of his day on trivial things like lounging around in bed until noon. if anything, sleep — while crucial for his innovative, ingenious mind (his words, not mine) — could be an obstacle at times. so naturally, he woke up bright and early, meaning he was awake before you. 

the sound of his alarm coaxed him from his sleep, and he grumbled a complaint about it being ‘too early’ despite choosing the same time to wake up every day himself. he deemed anything else ‘too late.’ 

finally sitting up and turning it off, he rolled his head from one shoulder to the other, feeling a little sore. as much as he enjoyed your company, he chose to sleep on his side with his back facing you. he preferred space when he slept. still, he wanted to check on you, of course. he hoped he hadn’t woken you up with his alarm either. if you were still asleep, maybe he could wake you up by making you breakfast? he was feeling nice this morning. maybe sleeping with you did that to him. 

his green eyes flickered over to your sleeping form, and there you were — lying completely straight on your back. “what a strange way to sleep,” he furrowed his eyebrows like he was really taking this in. as strange as it was, he sort of respected it in some way. you weren’t a ‘messy sleeper’ as he liked to say — someone who would toss and turn and kick him in your sleep. you were calm and kept to yourself.

hm. it would be interesting for a character trait, maybe. 

his expression softened again, lips forming the most subtle smile they could at the sight of you. he enjoyed this. it was peaceful. you were really beautiful too. you always were — but now when you slept, looking so calm and fragile? you looked like art.

as much as mista wanted to stay in bed this morning, his stomach would not let him. 

it was your first time sleeping together, and he really really wanted to wake up with you, but his gut seemed to have other plans, rumbling loudly in demand for food. he was surprised you didn’t wake up honestly, because the sound made him jolt. 

last night he had fallen asleep practically on top of you, his head resting on your chest and his arms wrapped around your waist. you were so comfortable and warm, he couldn’t help but to glue himself to your side. who knew he could like someone this much, huh? you were just so great — your smile, your laugh, your eyes. he bet you looked even better first thing in the morning. 

he lifted his head up after a moment with a small grunt of effort, and he was right, of course. something about having you like this, in his bed all comfortable, had his heart leaping. you really were something else. 

although…maybe you weren’t that comfy… 

you were lying there just…well…you were just lying there! it was almost comical. he had been clinging to you all night, and you didn’t even loosely wrap your arm around him. nothing! he could have sworn you were playing with his hair before he fell asleep…was it that you were uncomfortable? 

mista honestly didn’t know whether he should laugh or what. he sat up now, looking down at your sleeping form. it was kinda funny, and his shoulders shook at his hushed laughter. “like a damn board,” he raised a brow, then froze. “wait—do i smell bad or something? seriously, what’s up with this?” he fidgeted around to sniff himself like a dog, a little self-conscious about the whole thing, as amusing as he found it. 

all the commotion had you waking up gradually, your eyebrows furrowing as your eye cracked open slightly to find him hovering above you, watching you like some sort of specimen. “mista…?” his cheeks blushed a faint pink when you caught him like that, clearing his throat as he backed up to give you some space. “s-sorry. you were just—nothing, it’s nothing.” 

well that didn’t put you at ease. “what is it?” you frowned now, and his heart ached at the confusion in your sleepy tone. “no, no, it’s really nothing—” he insisted. “i was just worried i smelled bad.” you were puzzled, to say the least, but then again, this was mista so it was believable. “oh…can you come back then?” you pouted slightly, shifting to get comfortable again, and suddenly his hunger pangs were gone. 

at least he knew you were happy to sleep with him. 

ᢉ𐭩 gyro

a long, heavy yawn escaped gryo's lips when he woke up, stretching lazily beneath the covers. he remembered last night well — falling asleep talking to you, both facing each other as your soft chuckles filled the silence. it was nice, knowing he would wake up to your face too. made him excited to start his day deep down.

however when he opened his eyes, he was a little surprised to find you had rolled onto your back in the night — which made sense. lots of people moved in their sleep and sleeping in your back was probably your preferred position.

but was sleeping so straight your preferred position too?

it was almost concerning — your arms perfectly at your side, not an inch out of line, and your legs were the same. how does somebody just...roll into such a specific position in their sleep? or did you wake up and do that? he had so many questions right now, his vision still slightly blurry from sleep as he blinked to get a better look.

as much as it surprised him, he had to admit it was endearing. a quirky trait that suited you. he had strange habits of his own, so if anything he found it somewhat sweet to see that you had some of your own. there was no doubt that he would tease you relentlessly about it when you eventually woke up, but gyro had to admit it made his heart swell slightly knowing he was close enough to you to learn something so intimate about you.

he would kick himself for being so soft about something so silly, but he chose to just laugh about it to himself instead, leaning in to press a soft kiss to the tip of your nose, hoping to see your eyes flutter open.
