     HE HAD HOPED THAT IT would be the Durmstrang students that might stay in the Slytherin dorms, but to his disappointment, it turned out that it would be the Beauxbatons. Victor Krum and his fellow schoolmates seemed to be moving into Ravenclaw tower for the time they would spend at Hogwarts. And instead, they got a blue-haired girl.

     He was seated on the couch in the common room, watching the students from Beauxbatons file in, followed by their enormous headmistress. She was at least the size of that oaf that taught Care of Magical Creatures. Had to have giant’s blood in her.

     The new students were going to be divided between the dormitories of the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh years. Girls with the girls. Boys with the boys. Which he was glad about, cause it meant that the weirdo with the blue hair was DEFINITELY not going to stay in his dorm.

     He watched as they all marched through the common room and up the stairs to the dorms, he assumed to get familiarized with the place they would be staying for the foreseeable future. This was going to be quite interesting. He knew quite a bit about Durmstrang, but next to nothing about Beauxbatons.

    Ever since Harry and Ron had stopped speaking to one another, Hermione had been lonely. Again. It felt exactly like before she had become friends with them. And it was a feeling she hadn’t wanted to go back to. She had tried her best to get them to reconcile, but they were just so bloody stubborn, that it was basically impossible.

    So she had spent most of her free time in the library or cultivating other friendships with the other people in their House, in an attempt to perhaps avoid the two boys as well. The tension was thick enough to be cut with a knife, even when only one of them was around and it turned out to be quite a different friendship when it was just two of them.

    Today was, once again, one of those days where she was going to hide away in the library, trying to get through her homework for the week. To her dismay, it was very crowded, and there were no empty tables left. She allowed her gaze to move across the crowd to see if there were any familiar faces that had an empty chair at their table, but unfortunately, that was not the case. So instead, she sighed, squeezed through a small group of what she thought were Durmstrang students, and stepped up next to a blue-haired Beauxbaton-girl who looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there.

    “Could I sit here?”
