1, 12 31, B and E for whoever you feel like, dear ~🍃
[ ask game ] Thank you for the ask! 💕 I'm feeling a bit of an itch, so I'll answer for my estranged siblings trio of Sylvari: Nohsi, Impyerno, and Diwata!
1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?
Nohsi isn't the lethargic type but he's the one out of the three that can manage greatly in that situation, as long that he's in a comfortable spot and position to just lounge, lay back, and relax. He'd be all good and well even when he has to do so for a whole day.
Diwata is the in-between. When she finds herself some quality time in-between hitman stakeouts and scouting, she likes to set up camp and rest for a few hours.
Impyerno doesn't manage very well. He's almost always busy tinkering with whatever. When he's free of work or obligated to lay low, he can only manage for some minutes before busying himself with tinkering or anything else.
12. How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach?
Nohsi has a backscratcher that he uses. It's well-worn at this point because he's had it since the year he woke.
Diwata grabs at whatever improvised backscratsher she could reach, and sometimes asks her pets for help.
Impyerno tries his hardest to reach it before taking a backscratcher. He is fairly flexible though so he can definitely reach itchy spots a little easier than others.
31. Who are they the most glad to have met?
Nohsi is glad he stumbled upon Diwata and became her honorary sibling. She was the first person he helped from serious danger since leaving the Grove, and from looking after her, Nohsi learned just how much he wants to do the same for others. He is also incredibly thankful for Forgal. From that warrior, Nohsi learned to place a direction for his ambitions to become a staunch protector.
Diwata only met Imp after he already embraced Nightmare, but she regards him with respect only because she honors the relationship Nohsi has with him. She's grateful for Impyerno teaching her that people are not all black and white.
Impyerno feels little regrets over his choices thanks to one of his beloveds, Dubhan. Forming the relationship was a ridiculously steep slope to climb for Imp for many reasons. Hell, Outsiders may even debate that it didn't start remotely healthy. Regardless, Impyerno doesn't care much for the relationships outside his first family and his first and only loves. He's thankful that they helped him be who he is today, for better or for worse.
B) What inspired you to create them?
A common theme that ties any and all Sylvari I ever make is that they're coded to be the same ethnicity as me, it's something I just decided to give them for fun and make them more unique.
Nohsi is my second eldest character on my main account and I went hard with making him a "good guy". From the beginning I liked turning whatever vital detail a playable race has and make it so that it's all turned around for a character. In Nohsi's case, he was a sapling who despaired at the thought he wasn't good enough for a Wyld Hunt, who was also quickly (maybe harshy) taught his place and purpose.
I created Diwata shortly before my main got gifted the expacs. I made her to be excell in healing and nature magic as a powerful druid, even if she favored fighting head-on in combat much more. The contrast is nice!
And of course... Impyerno. Frankly he was first created just to be a condescending smartass of a Courtier (and he still is), but I loved giving nuance to his character by making him quite sentimental over his friends-that-were-basically-his-family.
E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?
I'd like to think that I will get along with all three. I admittedly projected many aspects of myself onto them (mostly onto Imp and Nohsi), and such, it's hard not feel close to them as I already do.
