Most Flaithri - Listen the Baron is young and arrogant as fuck. He thinks he knows everything. He will fall for every single trick.

Miesce - Actually she's tied for first but for COMPLETELY different reasons. Girl is so high everything looks like magic to her.

Dubhan - Odd case. He's not duped, he just enjoys them. He's surprisingly able to suspend his disbelief to watch magic shows.

Forgh - Do not be fooled this man is an idiot. It depends on the tricks the magician does if he's fooled or not. COMPLETELY on what tricks are done. Smdh Forgh.

Hartha - She has spirits that can tell her whats actually happening. She might get fooled for a moment until a ghost just goes "you know he's just sliding the cards down his sleeves right?"

Marfach - OKAY. Listen. She's spent so much time around humans. She KNOWS tricks. She even learned some to fuck with Mad.

Assumption: Dubhan perhaps have burn scars from sources beyond himself and his berserker fire

Dubhan: ... (grumbling) Yes... A few from accidents in Impyerno's workshop. And some wardens are... (growl) annoyingly accurate with their magic and arrows. Though- (he pulls the silk of his robe to show off a large scar on his chest) I'm told this one makes me all the more dashing.

[Oasis speaky! The one on his chest is from the one (1) time he attacked Kahedins. He got burned as the hammer impacted his chest so it not only burned him but also seriously damaged the bark around that spot. He prefers to hide it if only because he refuses to let them know he failed so miserably against someone everyone thinks is so weak.]

[Also, yes he has several scars from fucking with things in Imp's workshop.]

The count’s brow raised. Hm. His Knight was brave tonight, wasn’t he? A smirk crept over his lips, inquisitive look shifting to sultry.

He lifted his tongue.

And licked the Knight of Machinations’ finger.

Cybill + Serin

“Cheesy meat” didn’t sound great. Maybe Cybill misheard. Don’t get her wrong, she liked cheese on her meat as much as the next charr but-

Oh.

Oh that was really good. Her teeth carefully bit down, eyes darting to make sure her mate’s claws weren’t in danger. Damn.

“You got more of that?”

Havar + Viil

Havar was caught up in his mind again. That was happening a lot since he returned from the Mists. A lot more often after hearing about Kralk eating the Mists. He was only brought back by his old friend pressing a stein to his lips. The metal and wood. The texture.

His good eye shifted. It took a second to adjust to actually see. A smile quickly cracked over his lips. No, no, don’t let him see! All was good!

He wordlessly took the stein and drank it all down.

i discovered some new deities to apply to this bad bad man, including a god/dess(? was unclear) of persuasion. And one of ill-fated lovers :3

The Count of Bleeding Hearts is a dangerous sylvari. He worms his way into your heart, he makes you fall for him. And he uses that love to his advantage. Beware, young sylvari. He doesn’t care for you, no matter what honeysweet words he uses.

Dubhan was a warden, long ago. Now, though, he is a Count in the Nightmare Court. He’s finally stopped stalking Aengus and moved on to other parts of life. Though he is no less terrifyingly protective and obsessed with the objects of his affections.

I've been thinking about my characters' differences to their in-game model... in no particular order:

Cybill has long fur, but trimmed around her eyes and face. Her horns aren't uniform in is length, and only one is capped with metal. That one was broken in a fight, and the others have continued to grow. The blue tips are reddish, though she does still have blue hair ties.

Dubhan has a more burnt-wood tone to his body, like charcoal that's been rubbed on pine bark.

Saoirse has longer vine hair, about as long as the non-thorny hair you can choose. Her canines are a little sharper than usual, and she has slightly pointed fingers. There are small thorns along most other parts of her body as well.

Keeva has long, flowery hair, somewhat resembling aster petals, though darker in hue. It reaches just between her shoulder blades at the longest point.

Wikki occasionally puts her hair in one long, large braid. The two smaller braids are also somewhat longer.

In Scion AU, Naomh was corrupted, and thus part of her body is duller in saturation, a bit browner, and covered in bark growths. She has small, stunted horns from her forehead and thick vines and bark around her shoulders and neck. She is also taller.

Aengus's head has a few small "peach fuzz" leaves around his mohawk. They all point towards it and are extremely soft to the touch.

Kynean is very androgynous, appearing to have the feminine petal face (the second in the image), and the antennae from the leafy male face. His eyes are slightly grayer.

One Count, Two Knights

A short story, featuring Dubhan and his beloveds Impyreno belongs to @thoseofuswhoblossom, Oleander belongs to @salad-tales

The Nightmare thrives in the darkness. Even so, a bonfire lit the faces of the sylvari that laughed and flirted, despite the quivering and cries from their prisoners. The stars glittered in the moonless sky above, the fire raged and roared.

The count hummed, running a fingertip over the rim of the ornate goblet that held the equally expensive wine he sipped. His body covered in extravagant umber and gold robes, soft fur tickling his neck. He watched as his toys spoke together and danced in the firelight.

Then, he stood. He set the goblet on the arm of his throne, watching his court immediately drop to a knee. Ah, it was good to be a count. He strode through the field, smile widening as he grew close, robe billowing behind him.

"Squire," he took the colorful sylvari's hand from the Knight's as he spoke, "Come."

The squire eagerly followed, armored feets tripping over the other as he kept up with the count's swift stride. He ended back in front of his throne, and knelt with his head lowered.

The warrior count pulled his massive sword from the sheathed that leaned. He weighed it in his hands, gently brushing a finger against the cracked gemstone.

Then, he turned, and gently rested the flat of the blade on his toy's shoulder.

"Oleander," he spoke loudly, confidence dripping from every word, "You are no longer my Squire. I, Count Dubhan of Bleeding Hearts, now proudly name you the Knight of Devotion. You shall now be my entourage alongside the Knight of Machinations."
