It os rare to be shaken by an exhibition, but this show was quite qn earthquake for me. Yesterday evening was the absolute highlight of the Gallery weekend when Thaddaeus Ropac hold his wonderful inauguration dinner of @imranqureshiartist show at the @thaddaeusropac in Pantin. A mindblowing trip into the delicate universe of this brilliant pakistanese artist that I have discovered with this exhibition. "The seeming endless path of memory" reveals the interconnection of beauty and violence, death and life, time and infinity in an absolutely poetic way. Monumental abstract paintings alongside with delicate, very intimate drawings, often orned with gold, with delicate flowers. "The flowers that emerge from my paint in my work represent the hope that - despite everything - the people sustain somehow the hope for a better future", explains the artist. To me, his work is the proof that art is the one thing that links us spirituality and the above ...
