LOL to finding my grade 12 end of year essay. Here's a quote from it:
" I learned to forgive and forget, and too always keep my head up high. I’ve never felt so free, like no one is in my way. I’m the only one who’s making the decisions in my life. I’m no longer just going with the punches, I’m calling the shots. 2012 contained some very happy highs, and some very sad lows, but it has been a year where I learned more about myself that I ever thought possible. My year also included failing at a lot of things, but I’ve accepted now, that failure indicates that I’m human. I can’t be a robot, as much as I’d like to be. I’ve learned you can plan as much as you want for things to happen, but sometimes they just don’t. Things change, life happens you just have to go with it, and hang on. Overall, 2012 was a beautiful disaster. I laughed, cried and felt things I have never felt before. It was the most memorable, significant, and in a weird way best year of my life so far. I hope 2013 treats me well, if not better. 2013 will be the year I graduate and go off to an unfamiliar place with a clean slate, hopping to get a fresh start.
