I had been in a discussion with a few people about Solas and his levels of cruelty and one person kept saying "but he didn't MEAN for all these bad things to happen, he didn't INTEND for all these things, surely he doesn't APPROVE of his followers doing xyz" and I am just not sure that that's true. I think Solas is a lot more aware and accepting of the really terrible things he and his followers do than a lot of solavellan folks want to admit. Mostly because of that exactly: it's a means to an end. Maybe he doesnt ~like it~ the way I don't ~like~ putting the dishes away cuz I don't like the auditory aspect of it but I do it anyway because it has to be done lol. I think that's how Solas sees a lot of the world and a lot of the bad things that happen around him. It has to be done! It just has to be. Need to clean up this terrible kitchen that I destroyed with my negligent cooking sins no matter how inconvenient the aftermath is
