alana didn’t mean to stare but she was curious. she didn’t spend a lot of her time outside of the water and so, in a way, she was confused about the human world and the way that it worked. “what’s that thing do?” she asked, pointing at it and moving closer to them. personal space wasn’t a thing in her book. in fact, she didn’t even know what that was. “can i see it?” she asked, her eyes jumping between the object they were holding and their eyes. before they could really answer her, she took it and observed it, turning it every which way, trying to figure out how it worked or what it did. “where can i get one?”
