4: Quick, you’re in desperate need of a fake name. What character name do you think of first? – Elizabeth! A lot of great book characters are named Elizabeth. ^-^

8: Why are you reading the book you’re currently reading? – I’d read a few books from the author before, and I always enjoy her love stories hehe

1. The first book that comes to my mind is The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks. The most probable reason for that is that it's the last book I read. I loved it, truly loved it. At first I had a hard time getting into the story, mainly because it's slightly different than from what I'm used to from Nicholas Sparks, but it was a beautifully sad story that captured me from around page 50 and didn't let me go until long after I finished reading.

2. When I was 13 or 14 we had to read fragments of Oscar Wilde's The picture of Dorian Gray at school for an assignment and something about the writing made me extremely eager to read the entire novel. I came round to doing that this summer and it didn't disappoint me!

3. Practically every Harry Potter book, because does that even need an explanation??? 

4. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is a book I started reading in the bus on our way home from Paris and I finished on the trainride to Taizé. I read it in about 4 hours in total and I've never cried as shamelessly in a public place as I did while reading this hearbreaking book. Everything about it is perfect, it's witty, it's real.

5. Same writer, different book. Looking for Alaska is a book I'd heard only good stories about. So naturally I was excited to read it. But. I didn't like ti that much?? Yeah sure it's a light and easy read but the ending isn't satisfactory at all... sorry John Green, you did your best but it wasn't enough for me for this one.

6. I had seen a lot of reviews on Stoner by John Williams and I was curious. When I started reading it this summer I was hooked instantly. The story proceeds rather slowly, it's not an exciting read but damn is it beautiful. Around halfway I realised how it would end and that nearly made me cry. Stoner is an extremely endearing protagonist and I felt like I knew him, like I'd known him my entire life.

7. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer is another book that I'd heard a lot of positve things about, and this book too disappointed me. At the end I felt like I'd wasted my time reading it because I didn't particulary enjoyed it and, again, the ending wasn't satisfactory. 

8. I lost count how many times I watched Pride and Prejudice so it was inevitable that I should read the book as well some time. I started it once 5 years ago but the English was too advanced for my 13-year-old only-had-a-year-of-English self. My desire to read it didn't lessen however, so I started it again on Monday and I haven't finished it yet but I already know that it's going to be one of my all time favourites. It's the kind of book I want to have literary discussions about, I don't want to ever have to shut up about it.

9. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I loved all three, duh.

10. My mother read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini a while back and I remember how she had to cry at the ending. I purchased it this summer and the moment it arrived I started reading and I didn't stop until I finished it. Wow. Lovely. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Disturbingly real.

6. What's your lucky number?Don't really have one! But I'll go with 12 then :)

43. Can you do any accents other than yourself?Kinda, when I hear a certain accent I can do it quite good myself, especially the accent from Leiden where I'm going to study haha, going to have a 'kakker r' after a few weeks of uni! And I can sort of do a Flemish accent. 

65. Best dramatic movie you've ever seen?Oh jesus, I don't really know what and what isn't a dramatic movie?? Do Titanic and Gran Torino count as dramatic? I think they do..

87. Do you keep a journal?Nope. Tried it like 5 years ago but it cost me too much time haha and I always forgot

Your favourite fictional characters? Probably Leslie Knope (Park and Recreation) or Phil Dunphy (Modern Family). I just really love both!

What is your favourite store to shop at? I can't just name one! I shop way too much and therefore in way too many shops, but when it comes to great affordable clothing I'd chose MANGO, Zara & Forever 21. I also really love TK Maxx for great original finds!

What is your biggest goal for the future? I hope to find a job, that makes me happy and is well-paid, so I can afford the lifestyle I dream of. I'd love to travel a lot and see cities and cultures all over the world. I'd love to settle in Munich some day, but maybe live in different cities like London or New York. But my biggest goal is just to be happy.

How would you describe your sense of humor? Sarcastic. Definetely very sarcastic. But I'm also a huge fan of self-irony and good wordplays.

Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter? Autumn.

Favourite Ice-Cream Flavour? Ben&Jerry's Baked Alaska is awesome!

Coke or Pepsi?  Coke.

Favourite place to go on vacation? I honestely wouldn't chose on favourite. I love to visit as many places as possible, so I'd take every chance to go anywhere in no specific.

Have you ever met someone famous? Yes, I actually did, well but not ''world wide famous''. I met my favourite German actor (Mr. supergorgeous) Florian David Fitz, which was so awesome. He's not only very, very good looking (and my future husband.. we'll just ignore the little age difference), but also such a sweetheart and has a great sense of humor. Gosh, I'm really crushing on him. I also met Kate Nash & the wonderful guys of Walk the Moon.

If you could ask one question to any person, dead or alive, what would the question be and who would you ask? I'd ask Beyoncé what's her secret to achieving in live. (and I'd also ask Flo to marry me.. haha)

Allium: What's the best thing you can cook?I can make delicious stuffed courgettes :D. Another favourite is pasta with cream sauce and prawns and salmon. Easy but so good!

Locust: What was your favourite book as a child?Hoe Overleef Ik...? ! (How do I survive...) I read them all several times and the one I like best was Hoe Overleef Ik Mezelf (How do I survive myself) where the protagonist starts to get rebellious and does stupid things that get her into trouble.

Your favourite bands, songs, and/or genres? (It’s a mediocre enquiry, I know and I’m sorry) Bands: Bastille, Ed Sheeran, Arctic Monkeys, George Ezra, One Direction. Songs: Cassy O' by George Ezra, Of The Night by Bastille, Sing by Ed Sheeran, Say Something by A Great Big World and Julie by Chef'Special. Genres: I don't really know?? I guess I like pop/indy/rock kind of things

What’s the first thing that came to your mind when you see the word: “Salsa”? And “Hummus”? With 'salsa' I see a group of people dancing with the women in pretty dresses and a lot of hipshaking hehe and with 'hummus' I think of veryvery delicious green food

Do you like your food spicy? And what’s your favourite cuisine(s) and/or food(s)? Yesssss I especially l like it salty :). I love all kinds of cuisines but I think Italian or French are my favourite. Salads and sushi, pizza and pasta, I have a wide variety of favourite foods. 

One item you can’t leave your abode without? I would say my phone, but I actually leave the house without it sometimes... so I guess I'll go with the obvious and say my keys? and when I really go somewhere ofcourse I bring my phone and my wallet. 

If a bear and a shark had a fight, who would win? I immediately jump to my Dutch down-to-earthness so I'd say the bear because the shark can't breathe on land. Sorry I'm too literal for this

What’s your favourite TV show(s) and/or series? And your favourite movie? My favourite TV show(s) are Game Of Thrones and Grey's Anatomy, my favourite movie is Pride & Prejudice :)

Where do you see yourself in 10-20 years? I really really don't know. I hope that by then I've settled down, got a nice husband and a few kids. I really don't know what I'll be doing for a living then.

An odd habit that (you may think that) you only have? When I eat a sandwich I can't take my next bite until I've cleared all the crumbs from the plate... It's so weird I don't even know why I do it to be honest. 

Photography or (a) painting? And why? Painting! Though I can enjoy a good photograph as well. I don't really know, paintings just speak to me more.

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag? I haven't the foggies how plastic bags must feel but I don't think so..
