Is there a term for someone who is unopposed to some actions associated with an attraction, but uncomfortably with other? For example, if I was ok with some sensual actions such as hugging or hand holding, but not others like kissing or cuddling? Or is that not how it works? ^^;; I'm still on my own personal self-discovery journey, and I just want to know as much as I can about everything, if that makes sense.
Well, you can certainly feel that way, but since this is more about actions than about attraction, there won’t be many terms about that. Let’s see:
Mero-: “Being ok with some sexual/romantic/etc. acts and being repulsed/averted to others.”This may be what you are looking for, unless your uncomfortableness isn’t able to be described as repulsion or aversion.
Inact-/Initia-: “When someone experiences attraction and wants a relationship but doesn’t want or is repulsed by actions associated with that type of attraction.”
This doesn’t say all actions, so it could be useful, I think.
Semi-: “Describes someone who may be allo- by definition, but who finds a-ness and/or greyness a useful, relevant concept to describe their orientation, or a concept that still helps them communicate their feelings in some way.”
Since a lot of a-spec people use the fact that they don’t want to participate in certain actions as part of their orientations, I guess this could be used if it fits.
