#2: The Octopusman vs The Clue
Catechism of the Catholic Church, No. 2267: Recourse to the death penalty on the part of legitimate authority, following a fair trial, was long considered an appropriate response to the gravity of certain crimes and an acceptable, albeit extreme, means of safeguarding the common good.

"so what? you were outside getting fucked?”
that was the first thing your lovely husband said the moment you toed your shoes off by the door.
seriously?
you let out a slow sigh as he finally came into view, sprawled out on the couch like he owned the place (which, unfortunately, he did) cards in hand, sleeves of his button-down rolled up to his elbows, tattoos on full display with his holster still strapped across his chest like he couldn’t be bothered to take it off. and of course he wasn’t alone.
your gaze drifted lazily across the room, taking in the other men scattered around your living room.
“yes, i was,” you shot back dryly, clasping your hands together. “right next to a dead fucking body.”
“hi toj. suguru,” you added offhandedly as you passed, barely sparing them a glance before your eyes flicked to gojo, who was grinning way too wide. “…others.”
“HEY!” he called after you, offended as ever.
and as usual, you ignored him.
you grabbed a water bottle, twisting the cap off before heading back out, taking a long sip as the room filled with low murmurs in response.
“hope he fed you guys,” you added, voice flat.
then your eyes landed back on sukuna.
he was already staring at you, squinting hard and suspicious.
your brows knit slightly. “why do you look like that?”
“like what?” he shot back immediately, tossing his cards onto the table as he pushed himself up, dragging a hand down his mouth before stalking over to you.
“be careful what you say, man,” toji muttered from the couch.
sukuna clicked his tongue, ignoring him completely as his gaze dragged slowly down your body, licking his lips before looking back up at you.
“so you this tired from dealing with the dead?”
your eyes narrowed as you stared him down, and he stared right back.
“…yes, fuck face, i am,” you snapped finally. “my job is actually hard, you know.”
he snorted, tilting his head. “yeah, sure. and i’m a stand-up human being.”
“would hope so,” you shot back. “being a detective and all.”
his eyes sharpened looking deeper at your face as if he was trying to dicpher you.
“so who was it?”
you let out a sharp breath, already turning away.
“oh, go eat a bag of dicks, ryoumen.” you scoffed, didn’t even look back as you walked down the hall, hearing the rest of the men howl in laughter before he was hot on your tail.
you barely made it in the room before he slammed the door shut behind him.
you shrugged off your trench coat, tossing it aside as you moved around like he wasn’t there, like he wasn’t already watching you.
“well?” he pressed.
“well what?” you shot back without looking at him.
“you’re not answering me.”
“why would i answer a stupid question?”
“how is it a stupid question?”
you paused.
then turned slowly, putting your hands to your face before dropping them, pointing directly at him.
“see that?”
his eyes followed your finger.
“…yeah?”
“that,” you said, nodding once, “was another stupid question.” you said nodding like you made perfect sense.
"if you wanna know so bad," you said slowly unbuttoning your shirt. "you're going to have to come find out. ryoumen."
