Fred glanced around, looking for the source of the voice, then paused for a few moments. He honestly didn't think the stories of the spring were real, and it wasn't like he could completely rule out Luna's voice as a mild hallucination, so that meant he could just dis- Wait... that was Luna's voice. A confused expression settled on his face as he sank back down into the water to contemplate the realization, then he exhaled slowly. She wasn't really all that bad a person...

Well, who really knew how the whole soulmate thing worked anyway?

Fred awkwardlycasually wiped his mouth with a handkerchief, fixing Luna with a concerned look. "...I'd ask you if you were drunk, but you keep saying that's not your thing. So, uh...why did you feel the need to do that?" It was just weird, even for Luna, and it didn't help that it came from someone who supposedly doesn't even trust him in the first place.

Frieda had a sobbing man in her lap, and was slowly stroking their hair as she cooed to them. "Shh, dear. Just hush, yeah? It'll all be over soon~"

His mood seemed to lighten slightly, his voice hopeful as he looked up at her, still shaking due to the obvious bloodloss. She smiled at that and leaned in, taking his face in her hands. "Of course~! Now hold still." Snap! went his neck, and he slumped over just as Luna showed up.

"Oh...fancy meetin' you here~"

Lost, Are We?||Luna & Fred

The creature, reminiscent of a ginger-haired monkey, lay across a few branches high up in a tree. It wasn't out of tiredness, boredom, or even hunger. As lazy as it looked, this was how they surveyed the forest. One could find out a lot more by listening, and this way they wouldn't tire themselves out.

Hm?

Noticing a disturbance in the air, they leapt out of the tree to the next one, making their way to the most likely place for the disturbance to pass by. They hung from the tree by their tail as they waited for the intruder to come past, more curious than angry. Didn't they know not to come out here at this sort of time?

A curious trill sounded through the forest, sure to reach their ears, whoever they were.

The first time they saw her was when Luna was being teased by others. They didn’t realize at first. They just thought her nickname was Moony. They later learned they were calling her looney.

"I never said you had to." Luna laughed slightly. "I can see I'm probably not wanted here. So I'll leave you two alone now." She waved before skipping off.

"Not really the point I was trying to make…"

"Yes…"

"Well then…"

They waved oddly.

Luna tilted her head to the side slightly. "I think I'd be nice to be liked. Although I can't see many people liking me. But that's fine, I am a bit odd, but I like being odd." She seemingly ignored what they said and continued smiling at them.

"And we like being pranksters," Fred answered.

"We’re not going to stop to ‘be nice’."

"It’s not in us."

"So what’s the point?"
