Emerson is a photographer. She likes the fact that being deaf doesn’t interfere with her job. She likes the quiet, the calm, the serene; she likes the feeling that no one else exists when she takes a photo, just her and her camera and the shot. She likes being alone. So when Emmy meets Harry Styles, she realizes that while being alone is uncomplicated, it’s also a little bit too boring, and that jumping off the cliff is easier if you hold hands with someone on the way down. But she also learns that some people change depending on whom they’re with, that some people can give away everything they are and still feel like it’s not enough, and that the world they inhabit together is filled with “sometimes”, with “almost”, with messy things that often make no sense at all, with things that just weren’t quite good enough. Because sometimes the easiest thing to say often nothing at all and sometimes letting go is less exhausting than fighting and sometimes goodbyes don’t end with hellos, but sometimes, the perfect picture is one you didn’t expect to have.

favorite show atm? parks and recreation, and pretty little liars even though it's shockingly bad and it's a mess i'm still obsessed with it

least favorite character (from a book or show, anything) i know this is kind of a given but i fucking HATE alison from pretty little liars because i know what it's like to be in toxic friendships where you get backhanded comments thrown at you all the time and she just embodies that mean, superior bitch friend

Welcome to the new (side)blog for Put Your Records On!

This is a new Niall fic I'm working on. It's taking a lot of courage to share with everyone since this is the first fic I have ever written. It's a work in progress and I'd greatly appreciate any and every helpful input/constructive criticism. The blog's not all there so bare with me while I figure it all out. 

In the mean time, here's a little summary (I'm shit at summaries so tell me if it's bad): 

Ophelia Rae Scott knows three things for sure: music is the answer to everything; laughter is the best medicine; it’s okay to get lost sometimes.

Niall Horan knows three things for sure: it’s never too late to try; there’s a constant compromise between thinking and breathing; “you’re going to find yourself somewhere, somehow.”

AU where friendship truly is beautiful, you can never give too much love, and needing to learn how to just let your hair down.

The Robbers AU Challenge!

the premise: Everyone writes an AU oneshot that's around 10k words. The catch? Nobody knows who wrote what, not even us! On August 25th, the AUs will all be posted, and then a week later, the writers will be revealed!  

the prompt: Write an AU based off of Robbers by the 1975. Whether it's the relationship, the drug use, the robbery aspect, or the toxic addiction for bad things, to name a few. Take any aspect and make it your own! Inspiration can come from the song or the video or both!
